Channing Tatum breaks silence over Deadpool & Wolverine surprising cameo

As a lifelong Marvel fan, I can’t help but feel exhilarated and overjoyed by Channing Tatum‘s heartfelt Instagram post about his cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor has been attached to the role of Gambit for years, and it seems that Ryan Reynolds fought tirelessly to make it happen.

Deadpool & Wolverine major spoilers follow.

Channing Tatum has broken his silence on his Deadpool & Wolverine cameo.

As a dedicated gamer and long-time fan of Marvel Comics, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the latest Marvel blockbuster. And what a thrill it was to see a familiar face make an appearance on the big screen! That’s right, after years of being linked to the role, our favorite Cajun card-slinger, Gambit, finally got his chance to shine. I couldn’t contain my excitement as I watched the master of kinetic energy bring his unique brand of charm and danger to life before my very eyes. What a moment to behold!

On Instagram, Tatum posted two photos side by side with his longtime co-star, Ryan Reynolds, taken a decade apart. In the caption, he wrote, “Ryan stood up for me and Gambit.”

The actor reflected, “These photos are taken about ten years apart. I was in the audience when Ryan unveiled the initial glimpse of Deadpool 1 to the public. I believe I rushed backstage immediately afterwards and gave him a heartfelt hug, exclaiming something like ‘Wow, you did it! It’s amazing!'”

Back then, I barely knew Ryan at all. However, I can now honestly say that he is one of the few people who have consistently supported me in this industry. (Or: I didn’t know Ryan well back then. But since then, he has become one of the most reliable allies I have in this industry.)

Initially believing he might never see Gambit again, the actor commented: “Reynolds battled for me and Gambit. I’ll likely be indebted to him eternally. I can hardly imagine any action that could match the value this experience holds for me.”

As a huge fan, I can’t help but express my deep affection for this film, Tatum shared excitedly. I give a big thumbs up to Shawn Levy, the talented director and mastermind behind its creation.

1. “Every event has its purpose. I am incredibly thankful to be part of this film, which I consider nothing short of a masterwork. It’s an exhilarating experience, pure delight even. I practically shouted with excitement during the screening. Let’s go for more victories!” he expressed in conclusion.

In the film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Tatum is among several unexpected appearances. Others include Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool, Nathan Fillion as Headpool, Matthew McConaughey as Cowboy Deadpool, and Wrexham soccer player Paul Mullin as Welshpool. In the film, Henry Cavill portrays a version of Wolverine, Chris Evans takes on the role of Johnny Storm, and Wesley Snipes is cast as Blade.

Deadpool & Wolverine is out now in UK and US cinemas.
