Leila McKinnon has shared some shocking snaps from hospital after undergoing surgery.
On Thursday, the Channel Nine reporter shared on Instagram that she underwent a procedure to extract a pin from her knee, which was placed following a fall in 2022.
I, breathless with excitement, couldn’t help but share the captivating selfies Leila posted, lying there serene in her bed. And oh, that radiant picture of her leg, bathed in a vibrant shade of pink! It took my breath away!
She told her followers in her caption that she might or might not be feeling quite elevated, following another pleasant knee surgery.
‘But something alarming appears to have happened… is my leg pink? Surgical team did play some brilliant Chappell Roan tunes for me btw,’ she added.
Fans of Leila flooded the comment section with well-wishes for her speedy recovery, along with comments about the color of her leg.
One follower expressed, ‘I hope you get well soon,’ while another commented, ‘Oh dear God, akin to the iconic Pink Pony Club legend,’ referencing Chappell Roan’s popular song.
‘When you take Pink Pony Club a bit too literally. Still looking hawt in a hospital robe,’ one follower added.
One person exclaimed excitedly, “So incredibly pink!”, while another posed a curious query: “What on earth is that pink thing?
Leila explained that the discolouration came from a post-op disinfectant.
2 years back, the TV show host needed an urgent operation on her knee due to a fall down a staircase, prompting immediate medical attention.
The mother-of-two shared an image to Instagram at the time where she was seen laying in her hospital bed.
Leila described in her post’s title that she needed to insert a pin into her broken knee, while posting X-ray photos for everyone to see.
She asked, “What have you been up to during your school break? Just wanted to share that I got a stylish new piercing on my knee… nothing boastful about it!
‘Were my actions any of these: a) jumping into a crowd at a concert for a chance encounter with Harry Styles, b) descending a steep mountain at great velocity, or c) tripping and falling downstairs due to high heels?’
At that point in time, it seemed as though Leila hadn’t been to a concert or climbed a mountain.
