I’ve truly relished my radio experience, especially with Money News as my anchor, and I’m deeply appreciative of the fantastic audience who chose to tune in. Furthermore, I’m delighted to carry on hosting A Current Affair every Saturday evening.
Deb’s last broadcast on 2GB is scheduled for this coming Thursday. A replacement host will be unveiled within the upcoming weeks.
The National Content Manager of Nine Radio, Greg Byrnes, has likewise recognized her significant role in radio broadcasting.
Since 2020, Deb has played a vital role within our 2GB on-air crew, but her connection with talk radio goes back even further, as mentioned.
Across the nation, the Money News program, hosted by Deb, has achieved some of its highest ratings ever, placing her at the top spot overall in Sydney. Although we will miss Deb both on and off the screen, since she’s staying within the Nine family, she won’t be out of reach.
Deb’s departure from 2GB means there won’t be any female hosts during the weekday daytime schedule at the Sydney station.
In 2020, she initially became part of the 2GB’s afternoon show and was said to be earning around $600,000 annually. However, by the end of 2023, she was removed from her position on the program due to unsatisfactory viewership figures.
At the time, the broadcaster was said to be ‘shattered’ by the decision.

Even though there were changes, Deb swiftly recovered and began hosting Money News from November 2023, in a refreshed time slot of 7 pm to 8 pm.
And it didn’t take long for her to prove the doubters wrong.
In the most recent viewer survey, Deb significantly boosted Money News to a 13.3% share, making her the top-ranked host nationwide for that time slot. Additionally, she more than doubled the audience in Queensland, where the show is also aired on Brisbane’s 4BC radio station.
In the most recent survey, the program notched up a 0.6 point improvement, marking its best performance of the year for 2GB.
