Channel 4’s highly-anticipated new drama from It’s a Sin creator gets glimpse at starry cast

A first-look at Channel 4’s new Russell T Davies drama Tip Toe has emerged.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped about the new series that’s coming up! In this show, you’ll find me engaged in the lives of Alan Cumming and David Morrissey, portraying next-door neighbors in Manchester. Things between them heat up and escalate into something dangerous as their relationship morphs from friendly neighbors to bitter adversaries amidst a world that’s growing more and more tense day by day. I can hardly wait!

Fresh images have surfaced showing Cumming portraying the lively, humorous, and energetic character, Leo, who runs a bar in Manchester’s gay district. He is depicted wearing a leather jacket with a mustache.

Recent photos unveil Cumming as the captivating, witty, and spirited Leo, proprietor of a bar nestled in Manchester’s gay village. In these new shots, he is clad in a leather jacket and sports a mustache.

What to Read Next

The show centers around him and his long-time neighbor, Clive (Morrissey), who reside nearly fifteen years apart in the same city of Manchester.

Instead of maintaining peace, the atmosphere around them begins to escalate, with words turning into weapons and viewpoints growing increasingly extreme. Over time, what were once friendly neighbors transform into bitter rivals in a suspenseful suburban tale that questions our notions of security.

The story “Tip Toe” is often praised as a “pressing narrative that shines a light on the biases reemerging in our daily lives,” and delves into the “destructive influences affecting the LGBTQ+ community presently.

In addition to the main duo, other actors joining the cast are Pooky Quesnel from “Moonflower Murders,” Jackson Connor hailing from “Masters of the Air,” Joseph Evans known for “The Map That Leads To You,” Elizabeth Berrington recognized in “Lost Boys & Fairies,” Iz Hesketh famous for “Hollyoaks,” Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo from “Wednesday,” Paul Rhys starring in “Saltburn,” Charlie Condou, a cast member of “Doctor Who,” Denise Welch of “Waterloo Road,” and Shakeel Kimotho.

In his own words, “This production was necessitated due to the increasing oddity, difficulty, and gloominess in our world; essentially, the struggle has begun,” reflects Russell T Davies about this series.

As Cumming mentioned, the finest aspects of life are indeed worth the patience required, and this certainly applies to individuals as well. In truth, Russell T Davies and he have endeavored to collaborate for more than two decades.

Right now, not only are we collaborating, but we’re doing so with one of my closest, longest-standing friends, Dave Morrissey. What’s more, the project we’re working on seems incredibly insightful and essential to me. I don’t make such statements casually, but this is a genuine honor.

Tip Toe will air on Channel 4.
