Channel 4’s Friday Night Dinner star announces pregnancy
As a devoted fan of Friday Night Dinner, I am absolutely thrilled by the news that Tom Rosenthal and his partner Gabrielle Sky are expecting their first child! This is such a heartwarming development, and it’s hard not to feel a sense of nostalgia as we think back to the Goodman family dinners.
Actor Tom Rosenthal from “Friday Night Dinner” has shared the exciting news that he and his girlfriend, Gabrielle Sky, are anticipating their first baby together.
The well-recognized TV actor, famed for his role as Jonny Goodman in the Channel 4 comedy series, announced delightful news to his Instagram fans.
Greeting Bambino, as Rosenthal’s caption suggested, these images show him pointing at his girlfriend’s expanding baby belly.
As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share some additional details in the comments below. The gracious Plebs actor has mentioned in an upcoming podcast that… Well, they’ve decided to make an announcement reminiscent of a royal family declaration. So, here it is! Many thanks for your warm wishes.
Actor Tracy-Ann Oberman, who previously starred alongside Rosenthal in “Friday Night Dinner” on EastEnders, was among numerous individuals expressing their well wishes upon hearing the good news.
“Aw Mazels Jonny! Feel quite emosh. Aunty Val,” she wrote, signing off as her show character.
On a recent occasion, a dedicated viewer of Friday Night Dinner noticed a touching tribute paid by an actor to the late Paul Ritter, who portrayed Rosenthal’s character’s father Martin Goodman in the series that spanned six seasons from 2011 to 2020.
They wrote, “I bet Paul/Martin would be impressed by you!” This is based on the caption being a reference to one of Martin’s famous quotes from the comedy show.
54-year-old Ritter passed away due to a brain tumor in April 2021, and Rosenthal honored his fellow actor with whom he was working at that time.
Describing him as an exceptionally intelligent and thoughtful individual, he penned: “He skillfully applied his brilliant intellect in breathing life into Martin Goodman, someone he was determined to entertain with humor at all costs.”
Anyone who has watched Friday Night Dinner is aware of the hardships we subjected him to, yet I never once heard a single complaint from him. He remained unfazed, as he continued.
I will always be deeply grateful for having the opportunity to work alongside someone who offered such consistent support and shared valuable insights into the virtues of professionalism and humility within our field of acting.
Friday Night Dinner seasons 1-6 are available to stream now on Channel 4.
