Channel 4 reality series ‘shelved’ after just one season on screens despite rave reviews from fans
As a long-time viewer of Channel 4, I must say I’m feeling a bit like one of the celebrities in their reality shows, left in the cold after being locked up for far too long. It seems like my favorite programs are getting axed left and right – SAS: Who Dares Wins, Steph’s Packed Lunch, Scared of the Dark, and now even Banged Up! And don’t get me started on Hollyoaks! Three episodes a week? That’s like being given only one slice of my favorite cheesecake instead of the whole pie.
Despite garnering positive responses from viewers during its first season, Channel 4 has decided not to renew another show for a second season.
A British TV show named “Brits Down Under” chronicled the journey of a lively bunch of backpackers hailing from the United Kingdom, who relocated to the vast wilderness of Australia’s outback to immerse themselves in rural work on farms.
For 88 days, they endured tough physical work, hoping it would lead to an extended visa or avoid termination instead.
Unfortunately, it seems that the second season of the popular reality travel show may not be happening, according to TV Zone’s reports.
The show debuted back in January of the current year, running for a total of six 45-minute episodes. You can still catch all these episodes streaming online at present.
Initially when it aired earlier this year, viewers expressed their appreciation on social media platforms, humorously commenting about the show.

Channel 4 will no longer use its London headquarters at Horseferry Road, where it has been located since 1994, and will instead search for a new office space within the city of London.
In June, it was announced that five popular music channels – 4Music, The Box, Kiss, Magic, and Kerrang! – would be temporarily shut down.
Due to cost-cutting measures, the network has had to postpone several shows such as SAS: Who Dares Wins and Steph’s Packed Lunch in recent times.

The latest show to fall victim to the cuts is BAFTA-nominated documentary series Banged Up.
