Celine has reopened its summer pop-up store in Shanghai’s historic Zhangyuan district. The store is designed to feel like a relaxed, stylish French seaside getaway, capturing the easygoing spirit of a Parisian summer.
The building’s striking design immediately catches the eye, featuring large-scale photographs from Takashi Homma’s New Waves series that create a stunning ocean view overlooking the courtyard. These images perfectly capture the feeling of summer, bringing a lively and natural energy to the space – a sense of wild beauty, movement, and freedom. A sculpted sand dune and two stylish cabanas complete the outdoor area: one is an ice cream bar, and the other a shop for bikes and surf gear.
The store’s design blends the relaxed feel of beach houses with the elegance of traditional Parisian interiors. Inside, you’ll find the latest ÉTÉ CELINE collection, featuring women’s clothing, accessories, and a few menswear items. An outdoor patio with ping-pong tables leads to a special room where you can personalize your purchases. Specifically at this Zhangyuan location, customers buying anything from the denim collection—like jeans or jackets—can have the leather tag customized with their initials or a symbol of their zodiac sign.
Upstairs, visitors can explore four uniquely designed rooms showcasing jewelry, luxury perfumes, private lounges, and a fun photo booth. The space feels cohesive and stylish thanks to carefully chosen vintage furniture combined with custom-made pieces.
The ÉTÉ CELINE Pop-Up is open from April 13 to May 10, 2026 at Shanghai Zhangyuan.
