Celeste Barber breaks silence on shock ‘Photoshop’ scandal after appearing on glossy magazine cover: ‘It’s gonna piss some of you off’

In a move to address recent comments, Celeste Barber has spoken up following the extensive criticism she received regarding her appearance on the forthcoming September issue of Marie Claire magazine.

The well-known comedian, aged 43, who frequently jokes about highly edited photos and videos shared by top models, is facing criticism for allegedly emulating what she satirizes, as she was photographed for a heavily manipulated magazine cover that appears on her social media account.

On Thursday, Celeste boldly re-emerged on Instagram to counter critics who questioned the authenticity of her images, firmly asserting that they had not been altered through photo editing.

Hey everyone, I have an important update regarding the photo shoot. Some of you might find it disappointing to hear this, but here it goes: the photos are authentic – no photo-editing was involved. I just happen to look that remarkably good in them! I understand if it comes as a surprise.” – Celeste shared.

She’s been accustomed to constantly showing everyone her appearance resembling a smacked bottom. But rest assured, she looks equally stunning in this instance too! She went on to say, “And guess what? I always look this fabulous!

Celeste went on to praise the creative team for transforming her into a covergirl.

She mentioned that achieving such an appealing look requires significant effort, as her hairstylist adds approximately 15 kilograms of hair to her head and lifts her face slightly to secure a wig reminiscent of Kris Jenner’s style.

Further, she complimented her makeup artist by saying he worked magic on her face, and humorously commented that perhaps they had brought in light for the occasion since she could use some assistance herself.

In a subsequent statement, Celeste acknowledged her photographer’s skillful camera angles. She subsequently emphasized that the image accurately portrays her, expressing apologies for any potential discomfort, but also proudly asserted, “I look absolutely fantastic.

On Wednesday, Celeste posted a cover photo on Instagram that paid homage to her origins by playfully recreating Jennifer Lopez’s iconic green dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards.

Some followers expressed dismay upon discovering the extensive use of Photoshop that transformed Celeste’s appearance significantly and made her almost unrecognizable in the photo.

The individual expressed concern by asking, “How can you justify using so much photo editing when your brand is centered around authenticity?

‘So photoshopped. What’s a shame,’ another added, as a third penned: ‘Ah the irony.’

Someone commented, ‘Weren’t they aware of your beauty already? Aren’t you challenging the ideals of airbrushed celebrity images with your natural laughter?'” This version retains the essence and tone of the original while using more common and easy-to-understand language.

‘And she became what she mocked,’ one user commented.

Others decided to turn the blame on Marie Claire.

A disgruntled fan declared that the extent of edits applied by the photography team to Celeste’s images contradicts what she personally represents.

‘Heavily photoshopped Celeste Barber is sacrilege,’ another agreed.

Another person defended Celeste, arguing that her participation in a glamour photoshoot was justified as she was positively influencing the world.

‘To connect with the regular normal day to day person is her shtick,’ they added.

If you base your understanding solely on this image and fail to consider the broader context, you may not truly comprehend who she is, what Marie Claire represents, or the experience of being a woman advocating for other women.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m often recognized for expressing my perspective on the extravagant glamour photos and provocative video content that some models and celebrities share, showcasing their toned physiques. While these displays are intended to captivate, I find myself occasionally questioning the authenticity and intention behind them.

In April, her shocking public display in Paris left locals aghast, as she walked the streets of the city’s renowned capital wearing only her undergarments.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d rephrase that statement like this: Sharing my morning routine on Instagram, I strutted about in casual loungewear, sipping coffee, playfully echoing the casual poses of a rising Italian model in her own posts.

Nevertheless, spectators seemed less enthused by her bold performance, as some scornfully gestured towards her unruly circus-like behavior.

While she performed boldly, onlookers didn’t seem as excited, with some displaying disapproval through their scornful gestures at her unruly sideshow antics.

The social media star captioned the footage with some amusing words.

‘It’s important to blend in when travelling,’ she wrote.
