Celebs get Brit Awards ready! Olivia Attwood, Kelly Osbourne and Maya Jama lead the stars getting glammed up ahead of music’s big night

Olivia Atwood, Kelly Osbourne, and Maya Jama were among the celebrities who dressed to impress at the Brit Awards on Saturday night.

Well before the awards show began, celebrities started getting ready and dressing up for their glamorous red carpet photos.

Olivia shared a photo on Instagram of herself after a workout, showing off her sports bra.

She wrote: ‘Paying tax before @Brits glam’.

Kelly Osbourne posted a photo from her hotel room while getting ready, as her father, Ozzy Osbourne, is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the BRITs.

‘Time to get with the #GlamFam and get ready for the @brit.awards!’

Maya, the host of Love Island, also found time for her daily exercise routine, sharing a photo of herself in a bikini before going for a swim.

‘Brits dayyyy. What a coincidence the Brits move to Manchester when I do’, she penned.

Jamie Laing posted a picture of his wife, Sophie Habboo, getting ready for a night out with him. She was having her hair and makeup professionally done.

The BRIT Awards are being held at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena for the first time ever tonight, marking the 46th year of the event.

After getting rid of separate awards for male and female artists, the ceremony has received criticism for not nominating enough women. This was especially noticeable in 2023 when all the nominees for Artist of the Year were men.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the future! Things are really shifting, and in 2026, we’ll see a huge change in who’s being recognized – a full 70% of nominees will be women or non-binary individuals. It’s fantastic to see such positive progress and representation!

Lola Young and Olivia Dean are the frontrunners for the awards, each receiving five nominations. Lily Allen, making a successful return to music, is also a strong contender with three nominations for her latest album, ‘West End Girl,’ which has received positive reviews.

The 40-year-old singer details the breakdown of her marriage to David Harbour, star of ‘Stranger Things,’ on her new album, including claims of infidelity during their relationship.

At the awards ceremony, she’s nominated for Artist of the Year alongside Young and Dean. She’s also in the running for Album of the Year and Pop Act.

Lola, who is 24 years old, has also been nominated for Breakthrough Artist and Alternative/Rock Act. However, it’s unclear if she plans to be at the awards ceremony.

After the news was announced, she exclaimed, ‘Five BRIT Award nominations? I can’t believe it! I’ve dreamed about this so many times, I’m half expecting to wake up from a dream.’

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely floored! This is a dream come true, honestly. I’m just so incredibly thankful for this, and being nominated with such amazing people? It’s unreal! I can barely even process it all!

Olivia, age 26, recently achieved a feat not seen in the UK since Adele in 2021: she topped both the singles and album charts in the same week. Her song “Man I Need” and album “The Art Of Loving,” both released in 2025, reached number one simultaneously.

She has been nominated in five categories and will be performing at the Award ceremony.

The singer said it’s amazing to go from being a student in the audience at The BRIT School to performing there ten years later, and they’re really looking forward to the show in Manchester.

British rapper Dave received nominations in three categories: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Hip Hop, Grime, or Rap Act.

In 2025, the 27-year-old artist released his third album, ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp.’ He’s now the first British rapper to have three albums reach the top spot on the UK charts.

Raye received one nomination this year, following her historic win of six awards last year.

The 28-year-old singer had a great night, winning three awards! She started with Song of the Year for her popular track “Escapism” featuring 070 Shake, and also took home awards for R&B Act and Best New Artist.

As a bit of a pop culture enthusiast, I always love seeing artists make history! Right now, she’s the record holder for the most BRIT Awards won in one night – a pretty amazing feat. Before her, Blur, Adele, and Harry Styles all shared the record with four awards each, back in 1995, 2016, and 2023 respectively, but she absolutely blew that away!

Raye has also been announced as the final act to perform at this year’s BRIT Awards.

The singer, whose real name is Rachel Keen, will take to the stage during the star-studded show.

Before taking the stage, Raye expressed her gratitude to the BRIT Awards for inviting her and her band to perform again. She shared her excitement and sent her love to everyone.

British icons Pulp have received their first nomination for Group of the Year since 1996.

Okay, I’m seriously losing it! Did you SEE the nominations?! HUNTR/X – my absolute FAVORITES, the KPop Demon Hunters from Netflix – are up for International Song of the Year with “Golden”! And not just that, they’re also in the running for International Group! I knew they’d make it big, I knew it! This is HUGE! I’m so excited I can barely breathe!

Cynthia Erivo received her first nomination for Song of the Year with Mastercard for her performance of “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked.

Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and Chappell Roan are also nominated for awards, representing international talent.

For over a decade, the BRIT Awards have taken place each year at London’s O2 Arena. However, the Daily Mail reports that this year’s event – considered the most important night for British music – will be held in Manchester, and organizers are planning to move the show to different cities around the UK in the years to come.

Jack Whitehall is back to host the awards show for the sixth time. He’s hosted before in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2025.

He left the show in 2022 when Mo Gilligan hosted for two years. In 2024, Maya Jama, Roman Kemp, and Clara Amfo all co-hosted the event.

This will be Whitehall’s first performance in Manchester, a city he feels strongly connected to. He studied at The University of Manchester, and believes the city played a key role in developing his early comedy style.

A recent social media video, called ‘Ode to Manchester,’ featured the TV personality highlighting famous spots in the city, including the Curry Mile and the Coronation Street set.

He expressed his excitement about returning for the BRIT Awards in Manchester, a city he feels a strong connection to.

It feels incredibly special to be back in my hometown, hosting this show at Co-op Live. This venue is just a short walk from the comedy club where I first performed a ten-minute set years ago – it really feels like my career has come full circle.

He added: ‘Hopefully I get a few more laughs than I did that night. I cannot wait.’

The late Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ozzy Osbourne, the singer for Black Sabbath, died last July and will be remembered for his unique and lasting influence on music around the world.

The awards show will conclude with a rock tribute performance headlined by Robbie Williams. Sharon Osbourne, a longtime fan of Ozzy’s music and a friend of the family, personally requested that Williams perform.

Sharon personally selected a unique version of “No More Tears” – the hit song from Ozzy Osbourne’s hugely successful 1991 album of the same name – to be included.

This show will feature an incredible group of British and international musicians, including many who have performed with Ozzy Osbourne throughout his career.

Robbie will share the stage with Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne’s lead guitarist, along with Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, and Tommy Clufetos.

Ozzy Osbourne is a legendary figure in music and a rock icon. Beyond his musical career, he also hosted The BRIT Awards in 2008 with his family – Sharon, Kelly, and Jack.

Stacey Tang, who leads the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and is a co-president at RCA Records (Sony Music UK), stated that Ozzy Osbourne is a hugely influential figure in music.

With a truly recognizable voice and captivating stage presence, he revolutionized rock music, influencing countless artists for years to come.

This Lifetime Achievement Award honors an incredible career marked by innovative work and lasting impact, still resonating with people around the globe.

Ozzy Osbourne died at his home in Buckinghamshire on July 22nd at the age of 76, following a severe heart attack and cardiac arrest that happened outside of a hospital.

The event in 2026 will be the first of three years overseen by Sony Music UK, the company that led the effort to move it to Manchester.

They’ve performed at many famous venues over the years, including Earl’s Court, the London Arena, Alexandra Palace, Hammersmith Apollo, the Dominion Theatre, the Royal Albert Hall, the Grosvenor Hotel, and their very first location, Wembley Conference Centre.

As a longtime fan, seeing the ceremony move from the capital feels like a truly huge shift – honestly, it feels like the biggest change in its history. It really marks the start of a brand new chapter, and I’m excited to see what comes next!

The BRIT Awards, which have been held in London every year since their beginning in 1977, are leaving the capital for the first time, according to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail. This marks the end of a long-standing tradition.

This will likely be disappointing for artists and performers in London, but many in the music industry believe it’s good to rotate the locations of these events instead of using the same ones every year.

As a huge music fan, I’m so excited about the BRITs moving some of the action to Manchester! It’s always been the night for British music, but this means fans like me, and so many others in the North, will finally have a much better chance of being there in person. It’s fantastic that they’re making it more accessible!

Honestly, everyone’s been talking about this for ages! It feels like finally, finally the awards are getting out of London! Like The Mercury Prize and the MOBOs showed us, it’s about time the whole music world wasn’t just focused on one city. This means nominees from all over the UK will actually have a shot, and as a huge fan, it means I won’t have to travel to London every year to celebrate the music I love! It’s a game changer, seriously.

Jason Iley, CEO of Sony Music UK & Ireland, announced that The BRIT Awards are moving to Manchester. He believes this move, to a city famous for its incredible musicians, will refresh the show and continue the BRITs’ tradition of supporting and promoting great music.

Holding the BRIT Awards in Manchester, a city known for its lively arts scene, really embodies the awards’ energy and excitement. I’m thrilled to experience the show at the incredible new Co-op Live arena.

Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, expressed his excitement about The BRIT Awards potentially moving from London, calling it a significant win for the region.

It’s fantastic that this renowned international event is finally coming to London, a city famous for its music and culture, after 48 years.

Greater Manchester is world-renowned for its incredible musical history, and this summer promises some truly massive concerts.

We were able to achieve this thanks to our dedication to supporting new artists and providing them with opportunities to gain recognition.

We’re delighted the BPI chose Manchester, and we’re committed to making sure they’re happy with their decision. We’ll do everything we can to make this a success.

Hosting the BRIT Awards in Manchester, a city famous for its vibrant nightlife, marks an exciting new phase for the event, and we’re committed to making it a spectacular show.
