As a seasoned viewer of reality TV shows, I can confidently say that the sixth series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is shaping up to be a thrilling spectacle. With an impressive lineup featuring Torchwood star John Barrowman, broadcaster Rachel Johnson, and TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, among others, this series promises to push the boundaries of endurance and resilience.

Actors John Barrowman, known for his role in Torchwood, and broadcaster Rachel Johnson have declared they will be part of the cast for the upcoming season of Celebrity SAS: Who Can Endure the Toughest Challenges.

The 57-year-old actor and the 59-year-old broadcaster are preparing to appear on the upcoming season of Channel 4’s reality program.

In the sixth installment, famous personalities will engage in SAS winter survival training on the southern archipelago of New Zealand.

In this scenario, contestants can either choose to leave on their own, be removed by the organizers, or be the last ones standing, which makes them the winners.

Apart from John and Rachel, the sister of ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson, reality TV personality Pete Wicks, will join as well in the competition, marking his return for a second round.

Previously, reality TV personality Pete, aged 36, took part in the 2022 season of a popular show. Unfortunately, due to an injury, he was unable to continue his participation in the competition.

He will now appear on the show at the same time as he appears on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Pete was forced to withdraw during his first appearance on the show after a stunt went wrong.

The star was supposed to leap from a helicopter into a lake, but instead, he accidentally struck his head with his own backpack while plunging in, landing on the water’s surface headfirst, and floating face-down.

Thankfully, he was saved by the former special services personnel and health and safety team from the show, who determined that his wounds were primarily several fractured ribs.

Regarding his comeback on the program, Pete expressed, “Being pulled out due to medical reasons in Jordan made me feel I didn’t give it my all, and that left an uneasy feeling within me.

‘So when I got an opportunity to go back, I jumped in, and I would do it again.’

Rachel commented: ‘This encounter exceeded my expectations significantly. To be honest, considering the poor quality that’s often associated with reality TV, this was exceptionally good, even excellent.’

Besides Reality Star Bianca Gascoigne, ex-England rugby captain Chris Robshaw, TV Host Cherry Healey, retired professional boxer Anthony Ogogo, comedian Shazia Mirza, former Love Island participant Georgia Harrison, fellow reality star Bobby Norris, and social media personality Marnie Simpson will all be part of the show as well.

The roster will be rounded off by Ellie Downie (a former Olympic gymnast), comedian Tez Ilyas, ex-Love Island participant and professional basketball player Ovie Soko, and Lani Daniels (a World Heavyweight Champion boxer).

In addition, our lead trainer, Billy Billingham, along with his crew consisting of Jason Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver, will make a comeback. Furthermore, they’ll have the company of former Special Forces psychologist Dr. Alia Bojilova.

In the show, competitors will face continuous cold and wet conditions while completing a variety of Special Air Service (SAS) training drills.

Regarding the upcoming series, Billingham stated: “The quality we aim for will remain consistently high as the story unfolds.

‘From the very first second, the recruits will be expected to give 100%.

As a committed adherent, I firmly believe that those who fail to act will find themselves departing before they even begin to offer explanations. Time, for us, is a precious commodity – we choose not to squander it on individuals who do not measure up.

In the past day, it appears that dance sensation Louie Spence has left the production of the show, according to reports.

According to The Sun’s report, the 55-year-old choreographer was reportedly taken aback by the intensity of the process and decided to step down.

Louie was reportedly ‘unable to keep up with the regime physically and mentally.

According to a source, the publication learned that he appeared extremely excited to be among the muscular trainers, all of whom had prior military service and possessed exceptional physical fitness levels due to their rigorous training.

However, he found less enthusiasm for the system they needed to uphold, as Louie struggled to match their pace, both physically and intellectually.

In spite of it all, he departed with no ill feelings and felt appreciative for the chance — a fleeting experience as it may have been.

Beginning September 22, Channel 4 will broadcast the sixth season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins every Sunday and Monday at 9pm.
