Celebrity Traitors star Lucy Beaumont ‘moves in with fiancé’ – three months after ‘becoming engaged’ to the friend of ex Jon Richardson

Lucy Beaumont, known for appearing on the show Celebrity Traitors, has reportedly moved in with her fiancé, who works as a sound engineer. This happened a few months after rumors began circulating that they were engaged.

Maisie Adam, 42, who appears on The Celebrity Traitors, is dating Martin Wallace. Interestingly, Wallace is reportedly friends with Adam’s former partner, comedian Jon Richardson – they worked together on a stand-up show back in 2014.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that Lucy and Martin are happily living together. When Lucy isn’t filming, they enjoy a peaceful life, often seen getting coffee or taking walks in their neighborhood.

The exact date Lucy and Martin met is unknown, but Martin had previously worked with Jon Richardson as a sound engineer on his stand-up special, ‘Jon Richardson Live: Nidiot’.

Martin is a skilled sound engineer who’s worked with many popular comedians, such as Rob Beckett and Dara Ó Briain.

Soon after announcing her split from Jon, Lucy was seen with Martin Wallace, a sound engineer and a friend of her ex. Martin had previously worked on Jon’s stand-up tour in 2014.

In April 2024, Lucy and Jon announced they are divorcing after nine years of marriage. They stated that the decision was mutual and friendly, and they will continue to co-parent their eight-year-old daughter.

Six months after her breakup, it came out that she was dating Martin. Then, in August, reports surfaced that they were getting married, sparked by the Daily Mail publishing photos of Lucy wearing a noticeable new engagement ring in public.

According to The Sun, Lucy and Martin have moved in together since getting engaged. A source revealed that Lucy is very happy with Martin, and they enjoy a peaceful life when she isn’t working on television.

People often see them getting coffee nearby or enjoying walks together. It’s a much more relaxed relationship than before, as he doesn’t work in television, and Lucy seems to have realized she prefers keeping more of her personal life private after her previous, very public relationship.

It’s clear that publicly displaying their marriage caused them stress, and even attempts at humor emphasized how different they were as a couple.

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lucy for comment.

The comedian, known for appearing on the first season of The Celebrity Traitors on BBC, hasn’t publicly confirmed her new relationship. However, reports last year linked her romantically to a sound engineer.

They were first seen together last October after a show at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester, where he gave Lucy a ride. Later that same month, they were photographed leaving the Royal Hall in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Martin, who owns a recording studio in a renovated mill in Stockport, helped Lucy with her bags and a suitcase, loading them into a car they then drove off in together.

This seasoned sound engineer, originally from Didsbury, south Manchester – where they attended school with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy – has extensive experience touring with both comedians like Rob Beckett and Dara Ó Briain, and rock bands. They’ve worked as both a tour manager and technical director.

Lucy and Jon have announced they are divorcing after nine years of marriage. In a joint statement, they said they made the difficult decision to separate and move forward independently, and that the split was amicable.

We’re focusing all our energy on helping our daughter through a challenging time, and we ask for privacy to protect her well-being. We won’t be sharing any further details.

Lucy, originally from Hull, worked as a cleaner and teaching assistant before becoming a successful comedian. She’s known for sharing personal stories in her stand-up, and has even jokingly called herself someone who overshares.

However, she revealed a bit more about the breakup during an interview last September. She explained that while people might expect her to discuss it, given how public their relationship was, she wouldn’t be doing so – and not because of any bad feelings between them.

We decided that, even though it might seem strange to others, we wouldn’t discuss the marriage or anything about each other.

Fans were surprised to learn that the couple had separated, especially since they had collaborated on several projects, including their own TV show, Meet the Richardsons.

Okay, so, this show? It’s EVERYTHING. It’s been on for five seasons already, and honestly, it’s a masterpiece! And get this – Lucy writes it too! It’s basically about her and her husband, but like, super-amped-up, hilarious versions of themselves. It’s filmed like a documentary, but obviously, it’s all jokes. It’s a ‘mocumentary,’ as they call it, and I’m obsessed!

The show frequently included appearances by famous celebrities and Lucy’s mother, Gill Adams, who was a playwright. During the fifth season, Lucy and her husband separated, and Lucy hinted in the season’s final episode – as part of the storyline – that the show might be ending.
