Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns undergoes breast reduction surgery after years of suffering ‘pain’ and battling ‘over-sexualisation’

Cat Burns, known for appearing on the show Celebrity Traitors, recently had breast reduction surgery. She decided to have the procedure after experiencing years of pain and feeling uncomfortable with how she was often seen as overly sexualized.

The 25-year-old singer shared an update on her Instagram Story Wednesday, saying she’s now focused on learning to love her body.

Cat shared a photo of herself recovering in the hospital, posting a long message alongside it while lying in bed.

I wasn’t sure if I should share this, but I know I have a supportive community who will understand.

I just finished breast reduction surgery! I was so relieved and happy to see my mom, Sisty, and Sarah that I immediately started crying – happy tears, of course! I’m feeling incredibly overwhelmed with joy and relief.

I’ve dealt with discomfort and self-consciousness about my breasts since I started developing them around age twelve. They often hurt during exercise, and I strongly dislike the unwanted sexual attention they attract.

I’ve tried everything – different exercises, different bras – but ultimately, I decided that while I’m young and healthy, and grateful for the opportunity, I want to feel confident and love my body as I move forward with my life. That’s why I chose to have the surgery.

Today is a fresh start for me! My surgery went well, and I’m feeling alright – I practiced positive affirmations both before and after the procedure.

‘Gonna watch Traitors now from my hospital bed and chill, love you all.’

After Cat shared the true reason for her exile during the series’ final discussion, everything became clear.

In the final episode, the singer was the last player remaining who hadn’t been revealed as a ‘Traitor,’ competing against Alan Carr to avoid being discovered by the other contestants.

Despite nearly winning, Cat was eliminated in the final round and left the game during the last discussion. Alan, 49, then became the champion.

The celebrity shared on BBC Breakfast that she believed being the last remaining female contestant contributed to her not reaching the final three.

Viewers of the BBC show had guessed that Cat would be revealed as a Traitor because she was the last woman remaining. They believed the other contestants would expect one of the female stars to be chosen as a Traitor by host Claudia Winkleman.

The singer, who was nominated for a BRIT Award, suggested she might have had a better opportunity if Kate Garraway hadn’t been removed from Good Morning Britain.

Looking back, I realize I might have had a better chance if we hadn’t gotten rid of Kate earlier. Then there would have been two women remaining.

They started wondering if it was me, asking things like, “Could it be Cat?” Kate was already gone, and since I was the only one remaining, they figured it had to be me.

Throughout the show, there was nothing shown that suggested the detectives – Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, and David Olusoga – thought Cat was the final contestant remaining.

Nick, 45, along with his fellow cast members Joe, 35, and David, 55, suggested that Cat was close to other loyal players and might be intentionally misleading everyone.
