Cat Burns celebrated buying her first home after securing a £40,000 fee for Celebrity Traitors.
The 25-year-old singer shared a look at her new, lavish home on Instagram, calling it a major milestone in her life.
Despite her exciting achievement, she felt a deep sadness knowing her father and grandfather weren’t alive to share in it.
She shared that after recently buying her first home, she was overwhelmed with sadness that her grandfather and father weren’t there to see it. She explained that this feeling wasn’t something people typically warn you about when you’re grieving.
Cat shared the news of her grandfather John Burn’s passing last April, shortly after she came out to him. Sadly, her father died five years ago on Christmas Day.
The TV star gave fans a glimpse of their living room, which features warm terracotta walls, large windows that reach the ceiling, and a guitar displayed as a decoration.

The dining area featured hanging lights and flowed into an open kitchen with a red and white checkered tile floor.
Cat shared with her followers that her house is now finished, and she spent her first night there. She joked that since she loves being at home, it will be difficult to get her to leave now that she’s settled in.
In a subsequent post, she wrote about experiencing a mix of emotions, asking Alexa to add her accomplishments to a list alongside her grief. She expressed feeling incredibly proud of herself, but also saddened that loved ones who had passed away weren’t there to share in her success.
‘Well done and they are so proud of you!’.
Cat made it to the final of the Traitors before she was rumbled by the Faithfuls.
Despite losing, she wasn’t the only winner. Alan Carr, also a contestant, won £87,500 for his charity. Reports indicate that all the celebrities on the show received the same £40,000 appearance fee, rather than individual salaries.

This success follows a difficult period for Cat, who recently shared she felt incredibly lost after her breakup with long-term partner Jodie Rockett earlier in the year.
Jodie and Cat started dating in 2021 and frequently shared glimpses of their relationship on social media.
She recently shared with The Times about a challenging time in her life. She described experiencing two significant losses – her first heartbreak and the death of a close family member – as a pivotal moment that deeply affected her.
You can either let difficult experiences define you and remain stuck in the past – some people never recover from that – or you can learn from them and emerge as a more resilient and capable person.
‘I was intrigued to see if I was going to get through it because I felt so lost at the time.’
She didn’t say whether she’s currently dating anyone, but expressed optimism about finding a partner in the future.
