Celebrity Traitors reveals HUGE double plot twist for the penultimate episode of the hit series as Jonathan Ross is finally banished

Fans of Celebrity Traitors were shocked by a pair of unexpected turns of events in the second-to-last episode of the show, leaving them eagerly anticipating the finale.

The show ends on Thursday, November 6th, and has kept viewers guessing with lots of surprises. Host Claudia Winkleman announced two more unexpected twists during Wednesday’s episode.

The group finally removed their first betrayer, with Jonathan Ross being eliminated after a difficult discussion.

While the other contestants were happy to have won, Claudia shared some upsetting news: one player would be the last to reveal who they were.

She told the players they had succeeded just in time, as those who had been exiled would no longer reveal who they really were after tomorrow.

And that’s not all – the next murder will also be incredibly chaotic, happening right out in the open.

Rather than gathering in the turret, Alan Carr and Cat Burns, the remaining traitors, each received a letter instead.

The message stated: ‘To the traitors, cancel the secret meeting in the tower. Your task tonight is to commit murder openly, during the dinner.’

To eliminate a player, one Traitor needs to publicly ‘toast’ them – saying ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow’ and then the player’s name – before the night phase ends.

Now that Alan has already killed Paloma Faith at the start of the show, will Cat be the one to finish the job?

‘I can’t see you saying it?’ said Alan to Cat as they snuck away to the kitchen.

Cat proposed that Alan act as if he were quoting Stephen Fry, who had just been removed from the show, when delivering the line that eliminates a contestant.

Alan playfully complained to the camera, saying he felt like he was doing all the hard work while others weren’t pulling their weight. He jokingly suggested they’d probably even put him in the tower with a vacuum cleaner to do some dusting.

Jonathan was voted out of the game with six votes, surprisingly including those from his fellow Traitors, Cat and Alan. As the game went on, players grew suspicious of him, leading to his elimination.

Joe Marler, Celia Imrie, Cat, Alan, Kate Garraway, and Nick Mohammed all believed Jonathan was secretly competing as a villain, so they voted for him. Jonathan, in turn, voted for David Olusoga, and David voted for Nick.

Jonathan, who had been secretly working against the other players, dramatically revealed himself and said, “I don’t understand why everyone is struggling.” He kept everyone guessing until the very last moment.

I’m really frustrated that this has happened again. It’s a waste of my time to be here, and honestly, I think your actions were foolish.

Look, I don’t think it’s about anyone trying to be difficult. It’s not the players’ fault at all, in my opinion. The game itself is just… incredibly challenging. And honestly, I’ve always believed in it, I’ve always been a dedicated player, and that hasn’t changed.

The players were stunned, burying their faces in their hands, when he suddenly declared, ‘To the Traitors!’

Joe called it a completely absurd exit, while others rejoiced that they’d finally exposed a traitor.

Jonathan admitted they had eliminated him, but expressed relief and said he was actually glad Alan had been the one to do it.

We’ve consistently acted against the interests of others, but I’m hoping the family will put aside their differences and win, as a tribute to our recently deceased elder.

The latest episode of The Traitors began with comedian Lucy Beaumont being eliminated from the game. This followed last week’s episode, which ended with a dramatic cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager to find out what would happen.

It was between her, Kate and Nick to be taken out at the giant chess board.

And Lucy was angry with her friend Cat for choosing to murder her.

She told them: ‘I hope you feel terrible about yourselves.’

She turned to Cat and, honestly, I was stunned. She said, ‘I’m really not pleased with you,’ but then immediately followed it up with, ‘You’ve actually played this brilliantly.’ It was such a strange mix of disapproval and praise – I couldn’t quite figure it out, but it was clear she recognized Cat’s skill, even if she wasn’t happy about it.

Cat tried to placate her friend saying: ‘Sorry Lucy.’
