As someone who has spent years honing my culinary skills and entertaining crowds with my quick wit and charm, I can’t help but feel a thrill at the news of this upcoming celebrity cooking competition. With a career spanning decades and a wide array of experiences under my belt, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges in the kitchen and on the stage, but nothing quite compares to the adrenaline rush of going head-to-head with fellow celebrities.

On Tuesday evening, Celebrity MasterChef is set to grace our screens once more, welcoming a fresh group of celebrities eager to make their mark in the kitchen.

Many well-known personalities will compete to win over judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace by showcasing their cooking abilities.

As a longtime fan of celebrity cooking shows, I must admit that seeing familiar faces from various entertainment industries stepping into the kitchen is always a delightful surprise. From the energetic banter of This Morning’s Craig Doyle to the vivacious charm of Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, these celebrities bring a unique blend of charisma and talent to the culinary world.

As I eagerly anticipate the premiere of this exciting new series, let me confess that, at the ripe age of 48, I’ve never once donned an apron to whip up a meal for my beloved family or friends – quite the admission, I know! Meanwhile, my co-star Edith, equally as experienced at 50, bravely shared her heart-pounding journey leading up to our television debut, describing it as nothing short of terrifying.

When asked how his cooking usually goes down with friends and family Ian said ‘Erm, it doesn’t!

My go-to meals are typically prepared in one of two ways: ordering takeout, or opting for a selection of prepackaged snacks similar to tapas, often called ‘picky bites.’ Alternatively, I sometimes choose to prepare my own meal.

He mentioned that he was eager to participate in the show because he was seeking something demanding to engage with. His acquaintances and relatives know him well for his lack of cooking skills up until now.

In terms of culinary skills, I consider myself proficient with air fryers and microwaves. To expand my abilities and share this experience with my kids and loved ones, I decided to participate in Celebrity MasterChef, aiming to learn new cooking techniques.

Simultaneously, Edith discussed the build-up to the event, and despite her slightly greater culinary background, she admitted to feeling quite ‘nervous’.

As a lifestyle expert, let me share my experience: “The buildup and the moment before it seemed like being trapped in an endless loop of time! It was nerve-wracking, to say the least.”

I was thrilled at the thought of entering the kitchen for the very first time, and when we stepped inside, it looked just as it does on TV, complete with the MasterChef emblem and both John and Gregg there!

‘The excitement as well – it’s that mix of nerves and excitement – it was very bizarre!’

When asked about her favorite dish to prepare, she replied, “It really depends on whom I’m cooking for. I adore making crab linguine and I truly enjoy cooking fish. However, a roast dinner is likely my most cherished meal to cook.”

“This meal is incredibly homely and satisfying. It’s delightful to customize each side dish, finding the perfect match for various roasts, deciding on the right mix of vegetables, creating a suitable amount of gravy, Yorkshire puddings, and more.”

Charlotte, aged 34, commented that it felt ‘unbelievable’ or ‘incredibly strange’ as she entered the kitchen for the initial time while discussing the build-up to the show.

She expressed that stepping into the MasterChef kitchen for the first time felt almost unreal. To gaze upon the actual setup and experience it after years of viewing it on television, was an incredibly humbling and hard-to-believe experience.

It seemed more like an illusion than a true experience; it felt as if I were just a traveler taking pictures for souvenirs.

Craig, who is 53 years old, explained his motivation for joining the program by stating: “For the past 20 years, I’ve been a devoted viewer of MasterChef, and I adore this show. However, the idea of participating in it has always filled me with fear, as I am passionate about cooking.”

For me, cooking has been a form of escape throughout my life, providing a sense of tranquility. The prospect of competing in that field and emerging as a cook feels somewhat intimidating. However, I yearned for the opportunity to prove myself and ensure my skills were up to par.

Snoochie added of her reasons: ‘I mean it’s an absolutely iconic show and I’ve always watched it!

“I came here to pick up some fresh ideas and techniques, hoping they’ll help me become more confident in the kitchen, and cook meals for my friends without worrying about accidentally making them sick!”

spectators can anticipate an impressive array of celebrities hailing from film and theater, sports and art industries, as they vie for the opportunity to hoist the 2024 trophy.

In the 19th series, notable actors such as Christine McGuinness (a model and television personality) and Danielle Harold (from Eastenders) are competing to win the title.

In this upcoming cooking competition, each celebrity contestant will don their aprons and prepare to roll up their sleeves, diving headfirst into culinary battles. However, only one will emerge victorious and claim the title of MasterChef Champion 2024, continuing the legacy set by last year’s winner, Wynne Evans.

In this competition, notable figures like Chloe Burrows (from reality TV) and Diane Carson (from The Traitors) are also participating.

Additionally featuring model and TV personality Emma Thynn, comedian and actor Eshaan Akbar, as well as Gladiator and Team GB sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, this program will also host them.

As your trusted lifestyle guide, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be accompanied by an exciting lineup of personalities at our next event! You’ll have the pleasure of meeting Jake Quickenden, a beloved entertainer known for his versatility, Jamie MacDonald, a witty comedian who never fails to crack us up, Mutya Buena, a popstar whose tunes are always on my playlist, and last but not least, OJ Borg, the charismatic presenter from BBC Radio 2. Can’t wait for you all to be part of this incredible gathering!

Rounding out the roster we have actors Rochenda Sandall, Tamer Hassan, and professional dancer Vito Coppola.

The program begins by featuring a series of four Heats, each consisting of three episodes. These episodes are designed to challenge the celebrity participants’ culinary abilities.

As a devoted follower of culinary competitions, I find that the toughest phases are reserved for the crème de la crème. It’s the exceptionally skilled chefs who make it to the last leg of this exciting race.

In the initial episode of Heat, five fresh celebrities encounter their first intimidating assignment every week: the infamous ‘Under The Cloche’ test, where they have to prepare a dish from scratch, demonstrating their culinary skills.

Moving forward, I’ll be tasked with creating a two-course dinner party menu. If I execute this successfully, I’ll have the exciting opportunity to venture into the realm of a professional restaurant and brainstorm my very own culinary creation for a food truck.

In the quarterfinals, they encounter significant feedback from past Champions and Finalists who are making their return.

Following the Heats, the eight triumphant celebrities will discover what the upcoming semi-final and final weeks hold for them.

As a dedicated follower, I’m excited to share that my role will encompass the introduction of a fresh pizza round, along with ensuring we maintain our course while collaborating to orchestrate an extravagant dining experience aboard the British Pullman Train.

In the end, renowned personalities will encounter a highly anticipated chef’s table challenge, complete with an incredibly challenging task: preparing a dish using ingredients they usually dislike.
