The ratings for the premiere episode of Celebrity Big Brother have significantly decreased, falling close to a million viewers since it started its newest season.
Last night, AJ Odudu and Will Best returned to host the premiere event, revealing the stars participating in this year’s edition on ITV – the second time the show has been aired by ITV since they acquired the broadcasting rights for the program format.
On the other hand, there’s been a substantial decrease in viewership for this year’s launch event compared to last year. Specifically, only 1.8 million viewers watched it, while the 2024 launch show attracted 2.7 million viewers according to Broadcast.
In the first installment, Mickey Rourke’s behavior towards the host, AJ Odudu, prior to entering the house has stirred up some controversy as it was deemed inappropriate by some viewers.
People swiftly expressed their worry about certain scenes on social media platforms, many advocating for ITV to take action by removing Rourke from the house.
