Celebrity Big Brother Bullying Scandal

It appears that Celebrity Big Brother is involved in a controversy surrounding bullying. A housemate, rumored to have caused Christine McGuinness to cry profusely, is slated to join the show.

38-year-old actress and comedian Donna Preston is one of the reported individuals who has agreed to participate on the ITV program.

Donna has appeared in numerous TV series and films, but she’s particularly recognized for her work as the host of Apocalypse and for playing the circus ringmaster in the 2018 movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Beyond my performance as Den on Coronation Street, I also had the pleasure of appearing in the 2019 series Pants On Fire. Additionally, I took on the roles of writer and co-producer for BBC Three’s Comedy Threesomes.

In addition to playing Den on Corrie, I was part of the cast for Pants On Fire in 2019. Furthermore, I wrote and co-produced the comedy series Comedy Threesomes for BBC Three.

Prior to stepping into the famous residence, rumors are circulating that the actress had earlier placed Christine, aged 37, on the brink of quitting the entertainment industry.

As reported by The Sun, Christine found herself feeling disappointed following her appearance on the program Hey Tracey! in 2019, where she shared the screen with Donna and Joel Dommett.

In her book “A Beautiful Nightmare,” Christine revealed details about the incident without explicitly identifying who it involved.

She stated that she was subjected to harassment following the individual’s reported comment: “I’m completely clueless about who you are. Regardless of who you are, I don’t recognize your importance, I’m unaware of your identity, and I’m unsure of your purpose here.

‘You are really beautiful, aren’t you? But there’s nothing else.’

Christine expressed that she felt deeply ashamed, awkward, and humiliated, and she felt terrible! Yet, she persisted. However, her mind shouted, “Please stop talking already!

Upon reaching my hotel, I was deeply moved and wept profusely – I can’t remember the last time I cried this intensely. The incident left me greatly distraught, and it has remained on my mind ever since.

‘Do I actually want to be on TV? Is this for me? Do I want to stay as a TV personality?’

Later on, Christine shared that her representative had prevented the video from being broadcasted, the filmmakers followed up with her later, and the individual concerned reached out to her after to offer an apology.

She remembered: ‘A director had visited me later for a check-up. Given how hard I’d been trying to conceal my distress, I was mortified. I called my husband in tears. I was truly distraught.’

Christine stated, “I haven’t responded to her since and we haven’t spoken since then. I consider myself as someone who doesn’t bully others or pick on people, so I prefer not to be linked with someone like that.

TopMob has contacted representatives for Christine, Donna and ITV for comment.

Last December 2021, Joel Dommett tackled the allegations of bullying made by Christine, a former beauty pageant winner.

The presenter maintained that Donna’s remark was intended as a joke, yet he appeared saddened that Christine left the program feeling upset.

He shared with The Sun, “Ultimately, it’s a comedic production. It was meant humorously. I dislike any audience member leaving the show feeling unsatisfied.

Although no one voiced their worries to me, I always strive to ensure that everyone’s content if they’re part of the production alongside me.

I’m confident she’s alright. I later messaged Paddy, expressing my belief that she performed exceptionally well, and indeed she did.

The well-known TV personality further commented, “I don’t want anyone to feel downhearted following one of my performances.

Regarding Donna’s impending presence in Celebrity Big Brother, a source shared with The Sun: ‘Donna is known for her humor and wit, making her an invaluable addition to the household.’

She has collaborated with ITV multiple times, making them well-aware of her contributions, which they can expect when working together again.

‘She’s also a huge fan of Big Brother and regularly appeared on Late and Live last year.’

Between the years 2019 and 2020, Donna took part in a variety of comedy skits on Channel 4, including “Popping Up.” (The phrase “between the years” is used instead of “from” to give a smoother flow.)

Currently, she is participating on Channel 4’s Scared of the Dark alongside well-known figures such as football legend Paul Gascoigne, reality TV star Chloe Burrows from Love Island, and Max George from The Wanted.
