Rylan Clark was visibly embarrassed when he had to present a disastrous Christmas biscuit advert for Thomas Skinner on Celebrity Apprentice.
Viewers were entertained when the 37-year-old TV host seemed speechless after being asked to introduce Gary the Penguin to potential investors during Tuesday night’s broadcast.
The latest season of the celebrity competition began with both teams focusing on creating advertisements, understanding their target audience, and refining their sales presentations.
Rob Rinder, AJ Odudu, Jake Wood, Kadeena Cox, Charlie Hedges, and Eddie Kadi formed team Jolly McTrouble. Their edible creation was a Santa-shaped biscuit made of butter toffee, vanilla, and festive icing flavored with Christmas pudding.
Angela Scanlon, JB Gill, Matt Morsia, Sarah Hadland, Shazia Mirza, and Thomas Skinner were all tasting ‘Gary the Penguin’ – a unique biscuit shaped like a penguin and flavored with gingerbread, lemon, bubble-gum, and a hint of white pepper.
Sarah was speechless after seeing the advertisement made by Matt, Shazia, and Thomas from Gladiator.

The advertisement also confused members of their market research group, with one person questioning why Gary the Penguin, portrayed by Tom, was depicted eating himself.
The team asked Rylan to present the idea, and he was shocked by how strange the advertisement was.
People on X (formerly Twitter) commented that Rylan Clark’s brief appearance on the show was more impactful than all the actual contestants, with one user joking that he should ‘invest’ in the competition.
People are jokingly saying Rylan’s introduction to the video was so shocking they might not get over it, and that he looked visibly embarrassed alongside Gary the penguin when introducing the advertisement.
‘Even Rylan can’t put a positive spin of that’.
Lord Alan Sugar was blunt in the boardroom, stating, ‘That’s terrible. Your advertisement is really bad and doesn’t explain what the product even is.’

On the opposing team, project manager Rob successfully attracted a large number of supporters, including several celebrities.
Celebrities like Benedict Cumberbatch, Piers Morgan, Olivia Colman, and Robbie Williams helped spread the word about Jolly McTrouble with supportive messages.
Lord Alan Sugar playfully suggested that if Piers Morgan were to endorse a biscuit, it should be a Jammie Dodger.
Karren Brady, Lord Sugar’s advisor, shared that all seven retailers placed orders, and Rob secured additional orders bringing the total to 355,500 units.
Mike Soutar revealed that Gary The Penguin won after receiving orders from all seven major retailers, bringing their total order count to 452,000.
Back in the boardroom, Karren told Lord Sugar the team had no real plan.
He pointed out that while the TV ad was well-made and the product itself was decent, they ultimately didn’t achieve the success they were aiming for, despite having all the necessary ingredients.
AJ was blunt in the meeting, criticizing Jake and stating he didn’t contribute effectively. They also blamed Rob for the team’s unsuccessful task.
Rob decided to bring Kadeena and Jack back for another chance, but in the end, the barrister was the one who was eliminated.
Lord Sugar explained that while the team had sold over 300,000 units – which he recognized was a great achievement – he was firing the candidate because they hadn’t provided clear leadership. He stated, ‘You admit yourself you gave the team no clear direction, and so, with regret, you’re fired.’
