Celeb GK Barry’s Career Confessions Embarrass Partner Ella Rutherford

It’s been admitted by GK Barry that at times, her professional life and frank disclosures can make her partner, Ella Rutherford, feel uncomfortable or awkward.

In August 2024, a well-known participant from I’m A Celebrity and an athlete from Ipswich Town Football Club, both aged 25 and 24 respectively, made their romantic involvement official, following speculation for several months.

However, following her revealing journey to Australia where she shared aspects of her personal life and relationships, it was disclosed by GK (Grace Keeling) that this openness sometimes results in disagreements with Ella.

She shared that during her partner’s football team meetings for practice, they often asked her questions about their unique experiences together.

GK told OK Magazine: ‘Oh my God, there’ve been so many times I’ve embarrassed Ella,’ 

‘Being quite the storyteller with a flair for the dramatic, I tend to exaggerate. She told me, “You mentioned that our football team did something strange, but in reality, it wasn’t as peculiar as you made it seem.”‘

‘She’s a professional athlete and I’m just sitting there running my mouth on social media.’

She’s learning to express herself more freely, but she’s certainly picking up on social signals. The expressions of surprise on people’s faces are clear. Not everyone interprets things in a suggestive or sexual way, she pointed out.

Although GK sometimes makes Ella feel awkward, he acknowledges that his girlfriend has significantly improved his life.

On the talkSPORT’s The Kickback program, Ella expressed: ‘Barry quickly turned into my solid foundation – someone I already had in my family circle, but I believe it’s unique when you have a partner who you return to each evening.’

She’s had a significant role in making me appear so joyful on the surface, and it’s evident to others. Ever since we met, she’s brought about positive changes in my life.

Ella noted: “She’s thrived during her ‘wag’ phase. She’s been preparing meals and simply relishing attending the game with a glass of Prosecco.”

Ella observed: “She’s really hit her stride in her ‘wag’ days. She’s whipping up dinners and just loves showing up at the game with a flute of Prosecco.

She seems completely clueless about the situation at hand. When I inquired, “Babe, what do you usually do while I’m playing?”, her response was simply, “I just watch you.

Occasionally, she’ll comment, “That was a free kick,” and she seems to understand when a corner should be taken, but I think it’s necessary for me to have a talk with her about it.

Initially, I found myself frustrated, as she seemed unaware of which goal we had scored or what team it was for. So, I explained, “We’re the ones in all blue, sweetheart. You only have to glance at us to figure it out.

However, she’s making great strides, I must say. It’s beneficial for me too since she genuinely makes an effort to comprehend things just as I strive to grasp her actions and encourage her.

‘She’s been a massive support for me this year so that’s been nice.’

Previously, GK confessed that she was very nervous about her initial encounter with Ella, since she hadn’t started dating women following her announcement of being openly gay.

She admitted: ‘I recognized my bisexuality, yet I was extremely anxious about dating a female. It was uncharted ground for me. I was incredibly apprehensive about meeting Ella. We shared a common acquaintance.’

After examining her Instagram photos, I found myself admiring her toned legs and thinking, “I can’t imagine parting ways with her.” With newfound determination, I mustered the nerve to ask her out for a date.

The pair are more content than they’ve ever been before, with Grace remarking: “This was the best choice we’ve made. Since then, we’ve been practically joined at the hip.

‘We live together now. Sometimes she does drive me up the wall, but with love, of course.’ 

Following Grace’s honest disclosure about her intentions to wed her girlfriend, Ella the footballer, this event occurred.

Prior to making their relationship public, Grace had been secretive about her partner’s identity for several months, but recently she has chosen to openly express the depth of their bond and commitment.

In a chat with The Sun on Sunday, she openly disclosed that both she and Ella have made plans for their marriage and starting a family.

However, Grace mentioned that significant achievements might take some time still, she expressed: “Eventually, it will come about, but for now, we’re both focused on excelling in our professions.
