Catherine Zeta-Jones turned heads on the red carpet at the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The 55-year-old Welsh actress wore a nearly see-through black dress without a bra, showing off her fit figure.
Catherine’s dress had a fan-shaped bodice that highlighted her figure, with carefully placed details to ensure it remained modest.
Jenna Ortega, known for her role in Wednesday, wore sparkly platform heels to add height and completed her look with elegant chandelier earrings.
Catherine used makeup to highlight her features and wore her long, brown hair down as she confidently posed for photos before the glamorous event.
The Emmy Awards this year features a mix of established British and Irish acting stars, alongside some exciting new talent, all competing for awards at the glamorous ceremony in Los Angeles.

Owen Cooper, known for his role in the popular series *Adolescence*, is a frontrunner to win the Supporting Actor Award. If he wins, he’ll become the youngest male actor to ever receive the honor. *Adolescence* is a major contender at the awards, having received a total of 13 nominations.
Erin Doherty and Stephen Graham, who acted alongside each other, have also been nominated. British actress Aimee Lou Wood, known for *The White Lotus*, and Irish actor Colin Farrell, for his work in *The Penguin*, are also among the nominees.
Scott Jacoby currently holds the record as the youngest male actor to win an award, receiving Best Supporting Actor in 1973 at age 16 for his role in the drama *That Certain Summer*.
The Daily Mail reported that Owen will be nominated for Best Supporting Actor, not Best Actor. Experts believe this was a smart strategy that significantly increases his odds of winning an award.
He’ll be competing against his co-star, Ashley Walters, in the same category. This is also Walters’ first Emmy nomination, recognizing his performance as DI Luke Bascombe.
Stephen, who helped create, write, and star in *Adolescence* (playing Owen’s father), has also been nominated for Outstanding Leading Actor and Outstanding Writing in a Limited Series.
The Guardian praised Erin’s powerful single-shot scene, where she played child psychologist Briony interviewing teenage murderer Jamie Miller (played by Owen), calling it the standout episode of an already impressive four-part series.
She’s nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress award for her work in a limited series or movie. She’ll be competing against several talented actresses, including her co-star Christine Tremarco, Ruth Negga, Deirdre O’Connell, Chloë Sevigny, and Jenny Slate.

Colin Farrell won a Screen Actors Guild Award earlier this year for his performance in HBO’s popular series, *The Penguin*, and he’s likely hoping to win another one.
Before the event, young actor Owen shared his excitement, saying he’ll always remember the experience. He added that breaking the record would be amazing, and everything feels surreal. He also reflected on how different things were just a year ago, when he wasn’t sure what the future held.
‘Never could I have believed that this show would change my life in the way that it has.’
The up-and-coming actor shared his dream role, revealing what he hopes to play next after quickly gaining international recognition from the Netflix show that launched his career.
He shared that seeing Tom Holland, age 28, in the disaster film *The Impossible* – which depicted the 2004 Thailand tsunami – inspired him to become an actor. Now, he hopes to one day play Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe, taking over the role from his idol.
The young actor’s performance in Adolescence has been widely praised, with many suggesting he deserves a BAFTA nomination. Owen was particularly touched, though, to also receive encouraging messages from his friends back in Warrington.
Aimee, age 31, has received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her work on *The White Lotus*. However, she also dealt with some negativity, including jokes about her teeth in a *Saturday Night Live* sketch and reports of a disagreement with her co-star and romantic partner on the show, Walton Goggins.
In a recent interview with British GQ, she revealed that Mike White, the creator of White Lotus, had to strongly advocate for her casting, which initially made her feel unsure of herself.

She continued: ‘When someone (not a producer) told me Mike fought for me it was said in a nice way.
I got really caught up in my own feelings of self-doubt, which is what I meant to explain. I wanted to make it clear that HBO has been incredibly supportive throughout this.
In a recent interview with GQ, Aimee spoke openly about her insecurities, admitting she once thought, ‘HBO didn’t want me, and I knew it was because I wasn’t considered attractive.’
She recalled Mike saying, “Please, let me have the unattractive one.” That’s what kept running through her mind, she explained.
Aimee is receiving online praise for choosing to keep her natural teeth, rather than conforming to the often unrealistic beauty expectations of Hollywood.
While on The Jonathan Ross Show, the actress expressed her surprise at the attention her teeth were receiving, saying Americans were particularly fascinated by them.
It’s actually kind of rebellious how people are discussing me and my appearance, especially the fact that I haven’t had things like veneers or Botox, according to White Lotus fans.
