Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, shares an emotional moment with daughter Carys in sweet snaps from graduation celebration with Michael Douglas, 80
Carys Douglas received an outpouring of affection and encouragement from her well-known parents upon graduating from Brown University, located in Rhode Island.
On the thrilling Tuesday, I couldn’t resist but grace Instagram once again, this time sharing additional glimpses from my unforgettable special day. Among these precious memories, a heart-touching moment with my beloved mother, the radiant Catherine Zeta-Jones, aged 55, stood out. Another treasured snapshot captured a sweet instant with my venerable father, Michael Douglas, now 80 years young.
Carys looked radiant as she posed in her cap and gown layered over a chic white dress.
In a heartwarming snapshot, she could be seen shedding tears of happiness while hugging her mom. Resharing the picture, Catherine wrote: ‘It truly speaks for itself. I love you, Carys.’
Catherine too shared a playful photo of Carys sitting inside their car’s trunk, accompanied by the witty comment: “Graduation on wheels”.

Carys’ carousel of snaps was captioned: ‘Thank you thank you thank you @brownu @watsoninstitute’.
Catherine promptly responded with: ‘I’m so excited to share my thoughts! You’ve reached a great achievement. Kudos to you! Love you tons 💕’.
Previous week, on Wednesday, the actress posted her personal snaps from the event, featuring a heartwarming photo of her and Douglas affectionately greeting Carys with double cheek-kisses.
Catherine titled the photo: “Last night before graduation!!! We feel incredibly proud at this moment! The journey has just started!!!
On Sunday, the accomplished mother-actress posted multiple Instagram stories, one of which featured their daughter adorned in graduation gowns.
Catherine and Carys shared a tender instant, their hands clasped together, before they affectionately kissed each other on the cheek once more.
The event where Carys graduated with a double major in Film and International Relations from an esteemed Ivy League university was likewise marked by enjoying a carrot cake.
Last October, Michael shared snaps with his daughter Carys as he visited her at college.

At that moment, Michael happily shared a touching photo on Instagram, showing him and his little girl amidst the stunning autumn scenery of the college campus.
He titled the post, “Stopping by daughter Carys’ school on a crisp autumn Sunday with a heart!” (accompanied by a heart emoji)
Carys was quick to comment as she penned: ‘I had the best time with you Dadda.’
Catherine and Michael have two kids with them, Carys and her sibling Dylan, aged 24, who are continuing the acting legacy that their well-known parents started.
Michael comes from a well-known acting lineage, as he is the child of renowned actor Kirk Douglas and actress Diana Dill.
Although Dylan’s IMDb profile is brief, he continues to shine brightly – he’s the host of Young American with Dylan Douglas, a politically-focused talk show driven by Gen Z energy.
Cary’s IMDb profile currently lists just four projects, however, her resume expands to include the production of the short film titled Shell, as well as serving as a secondary assistant director for the short August.

The most recent movie by the newly graduated individual, titled “F*ck That Guy,” was chosen for screening at the PROOF Film Festival in Los Angeles. Notably, Spike Lee took on the role of executive producer for this short film.
In 2021, Catherine revealed both Carys and Dylan are determined to get into acting.
On The Drew Barrymore Show, Catherine shared that their enthusiasm for acting is so profound that, despite their minds being immersed in politics and history at school, their heart’s desire remains acting.
‘And they’ve never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting.’
