According to industry expert Jeff Sneider, Disney’s new leadership – CEO Josh D’Amaro and president Dana Walden – are making a reboot of the Pirates of the Caribbean films a top priority. The sixth movie is potentially about Jack Sparrow’s son, and may feature Margot Robbie in a leading role. Robbie was previously considered for her own Pirates spin-off, and Oscar-nominated writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns has reportedly been in talks to write the screenplay.
