Sylvie first appeared in Season 1 of Loki as another version of the character. Because of a difficult past, she rejected her identity as a Loki, chose the name Sylvie, and became determined to dismantle the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and allow different universes to exist freely. She appeared to succeed in the Season 1 finale by betraying Loki, eliminating He Who Remains, and leaving the timeline unprotected. However, achieving her goal damaged her developing relationship with Loki and created a complex situation for Season 2.
