The new Hulu movie, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, stars Kevin Vaughn and James Marsden alongside Eiza González. The film follows their characters through a chaotic and violent night, made even more complex by the sudden appearance of a time machine. It’s an R-rated action-comedy featuring Vaughn’s signature quick wit.
In the fourth episode of Invincible season 4, Mark unexpectedly finds himself in Hell, brought there by Damien Darkblood who needs assistance with a powerful new enemy. This enemy is Volcanikka, a villain who controls magma and plans to conquer Hell by driving out its demons—a move that’s just the first step in her ultimate goal: invading Earth. During his time in Hell, Mark uncovers crucial secrets about the Invincible universe, including mysteries that even his father, Omni-Man, never investigated.
Westerns have a rich history on television, with iconic shows like Gunsmoke and Longmire proving their lasting appeal – almost as much as they’ve endured in movies. The genre has seen a resurgence recently, largely due to the popularity of Yellowstone. Because of this, choosing the best Western show since the year 2000 is a challenge. However, Deadwood stands out as the clear winner.
Waiting for Season 3 of Percy Jackson feels like it’s taking forever, but luckily, there are lots of other great fantasy shows to enjoy in the meantime. Some offer grand, sweeping adventures, while others have the same fun and humor as Percy Jackson. No matter what fantasy fans are in the mood for, these series are all excellent options while we wait for Disney+’s popular show to return.
Though Neon Genesis Evangelion told a complete story in its original anime, it became a hugely popular franchise. What’s unique about its sequels isn’t that they continue the story, but that each new installment—like the recent short film—retells the same story in a different way. The series even playfully recognizes its tendency to create alternate timelines and endings.
Even though the project isn’t finished, I’m happy to highlight moments that feel truly special and memorable.
Most animated movies stick to a familiar pattern, especially those aimed at children. While a few filmmakers have dared to be different and add unique touches, fantasy and science fiction are the most common additions. Surprisingly, horror has also worked well in animation, as seen in films like Hotel Transylvania, Frankenweenie, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. However, one animated horror movie from 2006 really stood out, successfully appealing to both kids and adults.
Most Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) shows have only lasted one season. The exceptions are Loki, What If…?, and recently, Daredevil: Born Again. These three shows were either planned for multiple seasons from the beginning, or were quickly renewed during production of their first season. Unlike these, Wonder Man wasn’t renewed until almost two months after its first season finished airing. This difference suggests a change in how Marvel is handling its streaming series.
Dario Scardapane, the showrunner for Daredevil: Born Again, has revealed a growing link between the enigmatic Mr. Charles, played by Matthew Lillard, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Contessa Valentina Allegra di Fontaine. In an interview with The Wrap, Scardapane explained his intention to integrate Mr. Charles into the Marvel universe and connect him with Contessa Valentina, with the goal of creating more crossover opportunities and expanding the overall story.
The release of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 on Disney+ signals a fresh start for Marvel Studios’ television shows. This season is the first to be created completely after Marvel Studios adjusted its approach to making TV series, a change they announced in early 2025.
