The Porsche GT3 R competed in significant endurance races like Le Mans, Spa, and the Nürburgring 1000 Km during its tenure, as well as clinching FIA GT class victories at Enna-Pergusa and Anderstorp in 2003. Following the death of O’Rourke, the vehicle was passed through various owners, one of them being Tim Sugden’s GruppeM Racing team. In 2005, they modified the car to “RSR Specification,” which featured wider bodywork and a six-speed sequential gearbox upgrade.
