Interestingly, the new Neuromancer series on Apple TV+ feels very much like a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077.

This led to a surprise second season in 2014, following Valerie as she adjusted to the rise of high-quality TV dramas. Now, over twenty years later, Kudrow is reprising her role as Valerie for a highly anticipated third season.

Well, this is a surprise. Just when it seemed Disney was poised to really shake things up with AI-generated video – they’d partnered with OpenAI on their Sora tech – the whole thing has fallen apart. OpenAI pulled the plug on Sora, and Disney is now backing out of the deal entirely. It’s a shame, really. We were hearing buzz about how this could have changed the game for streaming and entertainment, but it looks like that potential will remain just that – potential. It never really got off the ground, and honestly, it’s a bit disappointing to see.

Compelling TV shows depend on well-developed characters, and creators usually spend a lot of time crafting them. However, sometimes a character will act in a way that doesn’t fit their established personality. This might be through a questionable choice or a surprising plot twist, but ultimately, it leaves viewers feeling disappointed and let down.
