A new anime series is coming based on the popular 2019 video game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It tells the story of Wolf, a skilled shinobi, who embarks on a dangerous quest to save his lord during a turbulent period in Japanese history. The recently released trailer showcases the game’s challenging battles, atmospheric environments, and the emotional core of Wolf’s fight.
Filmmaker Derek Kolstad recently told The Direct that plans for a Hitman television series are no longer moving forward. When asked if the project was still possible, he stated it was effectively canceled.
According to Deadline, Hulu has canceled the planned ‘Buffy: New Sunnydale’ series, even though they had already finished the pilot episode and many anticipated it would be picked up for a full season.
A new poster featuring Ryan Gosling playfully references his hit movie La La Land. It recreates a famous image from the 2016 musical, but instead of dancing with Emma Stone under the Los Angeles skyline, Gosling is now pictured with Rocky, a character from his upcoming science fiction film, Project Hail Mary.

Many of the characters were related to those from the original series – Hope was Klaus’s daughter, and the Saltzman twins were the children of Alaric and Caroline. The show depended a lot on viewers’ existing knowledge and didn’t quite live up to expectations set by The Originals.
Michael Mann directed The Last of the Mohicans, a film based on the 1826 novel by James Fenimore Cooper and co-written with Christopher Crowe. The movie stars Daniel Day-Lewis as Hawkeye, and follows his adventures during the French and Indian War as he gets caught up in the conflict between the British and French armies.

Both Screen Rant (giving it 9/10) and CBR (8/10) praised the season’s consistently excellent action and animation.
Each fantasy subgenre boasts at least one iconic show. For example, historical fantasy is known for Game of Thrones, while Supernatural defines the ‘monster of the week’ style. When it comes to vampires, Buffy, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals are standouts. And in the world of animated fantasy, Arcane and Avatar: The Last Airbender are particularly memorable.
Medical thrillers have become increasingly popular recently, as shown by the success of shows like The Pitt, which received numerous nominations and awards during its first season. While these shows were especially in demand during the COVID-19 lockdowns, that level of popularity hasn’t continued since then.
Many of these lesser-known sci-fi movies are still incredibly enjoyable and feel as fresh today as they did when they were first released. They’re all fantastic films that deserve more attention, and it would be great to see their stories continued with sequels.
