The new Pokémon Footbath in Wakura Onsen is a unique public space – it’s more than just a product or a theme park ride. Opened in May, it’s a free facility created through a collaboration between Nanao City and the Pokémon With You Foundation. Located in a charming wooden building, the footbath features a soaking pool decorated with Water-type Pokémon. It’s especially meaningful for the coastal community, as it helps revitalize tourism following the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. The footbath isn’t just well-designed; its location and purpose give it added significance.

Louis Vuitton will be holding its Cruise 2027 fashion show on May 20th at The Frick Collection in New York City. Designer Nicolas Ghesquière will showcase the collection within previously unused galleries on the museum’s first floor. This choice of location is significant because Louis Vuitton has also committed to a three-year partnership with The Frick, providing funding for free public programs, large-scale exhibitions, and a new research role for curators. This demonstrates a long-term commitment beyond simply using the space for one event.

Fans were expecting Drake’s new album, ICEMAN, but he surprised everyone with a much bigger announcement. He revealed on Instagram that he’s actually releasing three albums tonight! Along with ICEMAN, he’s dropping two completely new projects called HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR.

The launch of this new phase began over the Fourth of July with the first livestream, “ICEMAN Episode 1.” Drake kicked things off by driving a branded ice truck around Toronto and then unveiled his new single, “What Did I Miss?” He continued building excitement with a three-night performance at Wireless Festival in London from July 11th to 13th, making the UK a key location for the release. On July 25th, “ICEMAN Episode 2” dropped, featuring the song “Which One” with Central Cee, and further connected the cities of Toronto and London.
In addition to announcing his albums ICEMAN and HABIBTI, Drake also surprised fans by revealing a third album, MAID OF HONOUR, would be released at midnight.

During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Janelle Monáe discussed her experience with Ghostbusters: Answer the Call. She admitted that after seeing an early screening ten years ago, she hadn’t revisited the film, largely because of the negative reaction it received initially. However, years later, she happened to catch the Ghostbusters reboot on television and enjoyed it, similar to how some fans have reevaluated the movie over time.

Honestly, I’m a little shocked by how well the Nintendo Switch 2 is doing! It launched with Mario Kart World, and while I was excited, it just didn’t live up to the hype. The open world felt unfinished, and there wasn’t nearly enough to do compared to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Since then, we’ve only gotten a couple of really good first-party games – Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia. Pokopia was pretty great, and almost worth getting the system for, but overall, it feels like something’s not quite right with the exclusive game lineup.
Twin Engine has released a new trailer for Mononoke the Movie – Chapter 3: The Curse of the Serpent, the last film in the trilogy. The movie continues the story of the Medicine Seller as he investigates a stunning, brightly lit palace. He’s on a quest to discover the secrets – the “Truth” and “Regret” – behind a dangerous god called the Serpent God.

Drake is surprising fans with a triple album release at midnight! He announced on Instagram that, alongside the already expected ICEMAN, he’ll also be releasing HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR.
