‘When People Are Sad, I’m a Bit Happy’: Producer of Netflix’s Biggest Sci-Fi Anime Promises Even Darker Series
Sztybor posted a video from his Cyberpunk: Edgerunners panel at Anime Expo on his account (previously Twitter), and in it, he playfully confessed that his aim was to “get the whole world feeling down” with the anime. During this panel, which included voice actors Emi Lo (as Lucy) and Zach Aguilar (as David Martinez), the showrunner discussed the emphasis on human narratives within the dystopian setting of Cyberpunk. Sztybor stated, “Human stories are crucial for CD Projekt Red. We developed Cyberpunk 2077, and we’ve always wanted to craft character-driven stories, so that was important.” Additionally, Sztybor mentioned that as a company from Poland and being Polish himself, there is a certain sadness in Poland, “so I just wanted to make the whole world feel the same way.” When asked if he ever thought about writing a happy story, Sztybor responded bluntly, “No. Since people are sad, then I’m a bit content,” before jokingly saying that he thrives on the sadness of others.

Brad Pitt’s F1 Speeds Past All of Apple’s Other Movies
Apple’s movie “F1” has earned an impressive $293 million in its first ten days, surpassing its production budget of $250 million. However, it’s important to note that if we factor in the $100 million spent on marketing, the film is still operating at a loss. Nonetheless, this success boosts Apple Studio’s performance record; with five films released so far, only “F1” and two others come close to achieving such box office success. “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Napoleon” earned $158 million and $221 million respectively during their run, while “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Argylle” were commercial disappointments, grossing only $42 million and $96 million.
10 MCU Characters Who Could Make Deals With Ironheart’s Mephisto
It’s quite unexpected that following two storylines centered around magic, he appeared in a series seemingly dedicated to technology. Due to the tragic loss of her friend Natalie, Riri Williams agrees to a pact with Mephisto, despite being aware it might not be wise. This is crucial for several reasons, but the most significant is that it suggests that individuals besides villains could enter into such a Faustian agreement. As we approach Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, characters on both sides of the ethical boundary might be enticed like Riri. From minor characters in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to prominent Marvel figures such as Spider-Man, anyone could find themselves vulnerable to Mephisto’s low, low offer of “something you won’t even notice is missing.”
