It’s remarkable how well Zootopia 2 has performed overseas, earning $1.3 billion of its $1.8 billion worldwide total. In comparison, Revenge of the Sith (2005) had a more even split between domestic and international earnings, with $491.2 million coming from international markets. The new sequel’s numbers are also similar to the original Zootopia, which made $682.5 million internationally and $341.2 million domestically, for a total of $1 billion.

This isn’t to diminish Marsden’s abilities; in fact, we’re about to see the full extent of his anger and powerful energy blasts, which is a frightening prospect for anyone nearby. Imagine a massive solar flare – that’s the kind of power he’ll be unleashing within a half-mile radius.

Hulu has dropped the first trailer for the continuation of Scrubs, now considered Season 10. Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke are back as their iconic characters J.D., Turk, and Elliot. John McGinley and Ken Jenkins will also appear in recurring roles. The new season kicks off with a two-part premiere on ABC on February 25, 2026, and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day. The season will consist of nine episodes. As a huge movie fan, I’ve been thinking about how much Marvel’s changed. Back in 2016, Deadpool felt genuinely groundbreaking with its R-rating and self-aware humor. Doctor Strange blew my mind with its visuals and the way it played with the multiverse – I’d never seen anything like it. And Captain America: Civil War was smart, showing heroes actually clashing in a really complex way. But looking at those movies now, in 2026, they don’t feel quite as fresh. So many films have borrowed those ideas since then, and what was once innovative just feels…familiar.

As a movie and TV fan, I’ve noticed a really consistent thread running through everything Taylor Sheridan does. From films like Hell or High Water and Wind River to the Yellowstone universe – 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and now Landman – he’s got a distinct style. He’s fascinated by power dynamics and characters who aren’t simply good or evil, and he tells these stories with incredibly sharp, realistic dialogue. His scripts really need a director who knows what they’re doing. He’s drawn to these big, sweeping landscapes and knows how to build tension until it’s almost painful, and honestly, you could see the beginnings of it even in some of his earlier, really successful work.

Nicolas Cage occasionally delivers a truly moving dramatic performance, such as his Oscar-winning role in Leaving Las Vegas, showcasing his exceptional talent. He recently did so in the first film by director Michael Sarnoski, who was then hired to direct A Quiet Place: Day One thanks to the impressive quality of his debut work.

Over the course of his movies in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Sony Spider-Man films, Spider-Man has fought a wide range of villains, including the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Sandman, the Lizard, Electro, the Vulture, Rhino, Shocker, and Mac Gargan, who will likely become the Scorpion in the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

I can’t believe it, but a remake of a fantasy film from 16 years ago, starring Gerard Butler, is currently the number one movie on Netflix in the US! It’s been a great year for Butler, really. We got the new Geeland 2: Migration action sequel, and it’s awesome to see his 2021 thriller, Copshop (with Frank Grillo and Alexis Louder – seriously, check it out if you haven’t!), finally getting some love on streaming too. It was totally underrated when it first came out.

Jac Schaeffer, the creator of WandaVision, is moving from Marvel Studios to Amazon MGM Studios. He’s signed a three-year contract to create new shows for Prime Video, according to Variety.

Tim Burton’s Batman movie was a stark departure from the lighthearted television series, and it sparked both controversy and a devoted following. Unlike previous adaptations, Burton drew inspiration from the grimmer, more complex storylines found in classic Batman comics like The Dark Knight Returns, Year One, and The Killing Joke. This resulted in a more serious, less comedic portrayal of the Caped Crusader, and a darker overall tone. The film also introduced iconic elements that defined Burton’s vision of Batman, including a now-famous line that nearly didn’t make the final cut.
