With the announcement of Metro 2039, many fans anticipated a significant evolution for the series. However, the initial gameplay reveal left some feeling underwhelmed. Considering it’s been over seven years since the last Metro game, players expected something truly groundbreaking. What we’ve seen so far feels very familiar – more of what Metro already is. While I’m sure 4A Games has more to show, the teaser’s surprisingly down-to-earth approach is actually a welcome change of pace.

Okay, let me tell you, DC is doing something Marvel just hasn’t been able to crack. For years, Marvel’s been trying to deliver a genuinely scary horror movie within the MCU, and honestly? They’ve fallen short every time. But with what DC is planning, it feels like they’re already ahead of the game, achieving something Marvel’s been chasing for years. It’s a bit of a surprise, and frankly, a welcome one for horror fans like me!

Donnie Yen announced on Instagram that filming has begun for Caine, a new movie spun off from the John Wick series. Yen will return as Caine, the blind assassin from John Wick: Chapter 4 who was sent to eliminate John Wick. The project was first revealed in May 2024, and it was previously announced that Yen would also direct the film in addition to starring in it.

Though Westworld and Dark are very different in their settings and overall feel, both excel at building a central mystery that slowly and captivates the viewer. Each episode of these shows reveals new clues while also creating more questions. If you enjoy this type of storytelling, 1899 is a must-watch next.

Released in 1985, Margaret Atwood’s novel The Handmaid’s Tale presents a chilling vision of a future America, now called the Republic of Gilead. This new nation is ruled by a strict, male-dominated religious government that treats women as inferior. The most disturbing aspect of Gilead is the treatment of “Handmaids”—women forced against their will to bear children for the ruling elite.

New photos have been released of the Transformers Studio Series 86 Deluxe Cliffjumper, Voyager Cyclonus, and Leader Blitzwing figures, which will be available for pre-order shortly. Characters like Jean Grey, Ben Reilly, and Deadpool also frequently return from the dead. Whether these deaths have any lasting meaning is often questioned. However, there’s one character whose deaths have become a significant part of Marvel’s history.

McCarthy’s new movie, Hokum, comes out on May 1st and is already receiving rave reviews. It currently has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, surpassing the 96% score of Oddity. Critics are calling it one of the scariest films of the year, and are particularly impressed with McCarthy’s direction and the lead actor’s performance.
