The team behind Stellar Blade, Shift Up, has made it official that the PC version of the game will indeed offer various features that were inadvertently revealed by Sony earlier this week. Some of these features include NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 for upscaling, NVIDIA DLAA for image enhancement, NVIDIA Reflex to reduce latency, and the option for uncapped frame rates. Starting from launch, Stellar Blade on PC will support both ultrawide 21:9 and super ultrawide 32:9 resolutions, and players can choose to enable 4K background textures as well.

As a gaming enthusiast, my system must meet certain criteria to ensure smooth gameplay at desired settings. To run games at 1080p/60 FPS on Low preset, I need an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor, a graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB), and 16 GB of RAM. For a more visually appealing experience at 1440p/60 FPS on High preset, I would need an upgrade to either the Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600X, and a graphics powerhouse such as the RTX 2070 SUPER or Radeon RX 6700 XT, all while maintaining the same amount of RAM.

Stellar Blade on PC offers support for both NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, providing flexibility in gaming performance. It’s also unlocked for variable frame rates, offering Japanese and Chinese voice-overs, ultrawide display compatibility, DualSense controller compatibility, a fresh boss battle, 25 new character costumes, and enhanced environment textures. DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation allows Stellar Blade to run exceptionally smoothly on PC, enabling high frame rates even at very high resolutions such as 4K, while maintaining a consistent frame rate above 60 FPS.

On the company’s website, statues sculpted by JND Studios are now up for pre-order. These statues represent Eve, the main character from Stellar Blade, and Tachy, a well-known character who serves as one of the game’s primary antagonists. You can purchase Eve’s statue individually for $2,399.00, or get both characters together in a bundle priced at $3,899.00.

Prior to the launch of Stellar Blade’s PC version in June, Nvidia has verified that it will initially be compatible with DLSS 4. If you possess the costly GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, this game will also showcase Nvidia’s new Multi Frame Generation technology, which can potentially produce “up to three extra frames for every traditionally rendered frame.

Launched exclusively for PlayStation 5 in April 2024, “Stellar Blade” experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, surpassing one million sales by June. However, it faced a wave of debates over the portrayal of its protagonist Eve, who was perceived as excessively sexualized shortly after launch. Regardless, “Stellar Blade” garnered mostly favorable reviews, earning an average critic rating of 83 on OpenCritic. In light of its success, future updates and additional DLC have been promised for free, with some content available for purchase as well.
