The 63-year-old Australian actor has shared insights about his collaboration with Cate on a podcast titled “A Life of Greatness”.

It follows reports that Cate has plans to retire from showbusiness, after decades in the industry.

In a recent conversation with Radio Times, the Academy Award-winning actress, aged 55, expressed uncertainty about her professional label, admitting, “I’m stepping away from acting. My relatives often chuckle when I mention it, yet I assure you, I am sincere.

The Melbourne-born actress insisted she still had ‘a lot of things I want to do with my life’.

Instead of specifying a deadline, the actress who played the role of the Little Fish star in the London production of Chekhov’s “The Seagull” at the Barbican has chosen not to disclose her plans for leaving show business.

The mother-of-four explained why she had chosen to embark on her first audio radio project.
