The developers known as Gentlebros have revealed that their open-world action RPG titled Cat Quest III is set to debut on iPhone, iPad, and Mac on August 8, 2025. This marks the third game in the acclaimed Cat Quest series, which initially released last year for PC and console platforms.

In simple terms, “Cat Quest III” is an enchanting 2.5D open-world role-playing game featuring hack-and-slash battles, offering both solo and cooperative experiences. The story unfolds in the fantastical pirate-themed region of Purribean, where you assume the role of a valiant privateer sailing through lands and seas with your devoted spirit companion. Meanwhile, the mischievous Pi-rats are on a quest to find the elusive “Northern Star.”

Being a cat enthusiast who has previously delved into the series, I’m really looking forward to giving this another go. While an Android version would have been ideal, I can’t wait to embark on my voyage, engage in combat on my vessel, traverse diverse dungeons, and uncover caches filled with spells, weapons, costumes, and other intriguing items.

Battle various bosses and assist other quirky characters in their quests

Although the prospect of battling more than 50 bosses sounds engaging, it’s the upgraded combat system that has me particularly excited to encounter the peculiar characters and aid in their missions. Additionally, you can immerse yourself in detective work, collecting evidence, and solving the enigmas of Purribean at your leisure.

To sum it up, this third installment appears to be quite engaging and rich in content with approximately 100 quests, dungeons, side activities, a Game+ and challenge mode, breathtaking graphics, diverse biomes, over 100 pieces of equipment to gather, and an Infinite mode for endless entertainment.
