Casualty hunk ‘dating another BBC co-star’ just months after ‘drifting apart’ from his Call The Midwife colleague who played his on-screen wife

It’s reported that the actor previously known for playing a Casualty character is now romantically involved with another cast member, not long after parting ways with his Call The Midwife partner.

It’s reported that actor Olly Rix is in a romantic relationship with Anna Chell, aged 28, who plays the role of nurse Jodie Whyte on the BBC medical drama.

40-year-old character named Olly portrays the attractive, leading role of Dr. Flynn Byron on the series Casualty. He made his first appearance for viewers earlier in the year.

According to a trusted confidant, Olly is in a fantastic state of mind and he’s deeply enjoying his budding relationship with Anna.

According to their statement, after experiencing an unexpected focus in the limelight during his tenure on ‘Call the Midwife’, Olly is currently feeling quite content and at ease.

Over the past year, he has seamlessly adapted to his position on Casualty, found a new residence in Cardiff (the location of filming), and is delighting in a flourishing relationship with Anna.

Before taking up a position in the emergency department, Olly previously acted as Matthew Aylward, Helen George’s on-screen spouse, in the show Call The Midwife.

Later on, they grew quite fond of each other outside the screen setting, but by September 2024, Helen, aged 41, was seen on the celebrity dating app Raya, suggesting a separation had occurred between them.

Olly and Helen were reported to be standing by one another as they went through their individual separations, eventually growing closer.

In July 2023, it became known that Helen and her partner Jack Ashton parted ways after being together for seven years, while Olly also ended his relationship with Natasha Fagri around the same period.

That November, I was seen departing from Olly’s residence, not long after he was observed coming back carrying two cups of coffee.

In the month of November, I found myself exiting Olly’s dwelling, shortly following his return with a pair of coffees in hand.

A source reported back then: ‘This year has posed challenges for both Helen and Olly. They’ve been frequently seen together on set, taking their dogs for walks together, and engaging in lengthy conversations.’

They show mutual admiration as performers, consistently backing each other and committing themselves to their characters in this dramatic production. The evolutions in their bond have stirred quite a bit of turbulence.
