Story Highlights

  • Castle V Castle is a turn-based castle battler featuring wacky yet stylish visuals, and is inspired by Castle Wars and Wordle.
  • At the end of each run, you earn XP and unlock rewards such as new modes, reward cards, and more.
  • You can test your skills in the daily challenges mode and aim to build a Wordle-style winning streak.

In simple terms, “Future Friends Games” has unveiled their upcoming one-on-one castle-battling game titled “Castle V Castle”, planned for release on both mobile devices and personal computers towards the end of this year.

The game is being created by the independent studio, nopopo, which is spearheaded by Folmer Kelly, who is well-known for designing Devolver Tumble Time. This project receives support from Casey Yano, a developer of Slay the Spire, through Outersloth – an indie game fund initiated by the creators of Among Us.

Get ready to demolish your opponent’s castles brick by brick in Castle V Castle

The matchup between Castle V Castle is a relaxed, single-player game that revolves around castle combat, reminiscent of the classic browser games Castle Wars and Wordle. In this title, your mission is to construct your castle tower up to a towering 25 meters, while simultaneously dismantling your opponent’s fortress piece by piece in an exhilarating magic-infused one-on-one battle.

The way this game looks, it certainly catches my attention, and I’m planning on giving the demo a spin. In this game, you start by investing resources into either fortifying your own castle or damaging your opponent’s, before you can play different cards. The reward cards seem quite intriguing.

Moreover, you gain XP and receive rewards such as fresh game modes, reward cards, and additional features following each playthrough. I’m also looking forward to the daily challenge, where you can demonstrate your abilities in a randomly generated fight. I aim to establish a winning streak akin to Wordle within this mode.

This year, the highly anticipated game, Castle V, will be available for play on both mobile devices and personal computers. If you’re eager to get a taste of the action, the demo version is currently accessible on Steam. Keep an eye out here for further developments regarding this exciting game!
