Cassie Changes Focus to Family and Birth After Court Testimony Against Diddy
Cassie Ventura shared insights into how her life has evolved following her appearance in court during Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s federal sex trafficking trial.
Following her dramatic court appearance, the 38-year-old singer known as Me & U is now refocusing her efforts on her loved ones and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her new baby, alongside her husband Alex Fine.
For four days while testifying, it was apparent that she was eight months pregnant, having entered her third trimester.
After concluding the final phase of her struggles, her attorney Doug Wigdor informed TMZ on Saturday that Ventura is currently concentrating on her spouse and children this weekend, as well as preparing for the upcoming delivery within a few weeks.
Ventura and Fine, who have been married since 2019, are expecting their third child together.
For a week, the personal trainer was in New York City, standing by her side throughout the Diddy trial. During this time, she assisted her during the cross-examination on the witness stand and helped her present her testimony.
Regardless of conjecture regarding Fine’s potential reactions to revelations about their intimate past and accusations against Diddy concerning past abusive behavior, Fine remained steadfast in his backing of Ventura.
On Friday, Fine expressed a heartfelt sentiment that he was filled with immense pride and profound affection for his spouse, as shared by Wigdor.
Apart from this, he made sure to highlight that ‘Cassie rescued herself’, expressed admiration for his spouse, and then labeled the fallen music tycoon as ‘evil’.
In her personal statement, as reported by Wignor, Ventura found it empowering and therapeutic to share her story and speak out.
Ventura tied the knot with Fine in September 2019, which was just under a year following her confirmation of separation from Combs.
The pair of soon-to-be parents are currently the proud guardians of two little girls, five-year-old Frankie and four-year-old Sunny.
Approximately three months ago, Ventura and Fine shared the exciting news about the addition to their family, as the singer is expecting their third child.
This week, Ventura asserted that for nearly a decade (from 2007 to 2018), she experienced traumatic abuse at the hands of Combs during their turbulent relationship, which was on and off.
Despite ending their relationship and moving on with Fine, she eventually admitted that she had been unfaithful to him with Combs, a revelation made after years of suffering his abuse.

Although they broke up and she found herself in a new relationship with Fine, she later confessed to having an affair with Combs during their time together – a secret she kept hidden due to the years of mistreatment by him.

In addition, she detailed an especially harrowing encounter from autumn 2018, during which her former partner is said to have raped her. Upon disclosing this incident to Fine, he reportedly became enraged and damaged a wall by punching it.
Ventura testified that she had consensual sex with Combs on one other occasion after the assault.
In the meantime, Diddy’s lawyers presented some explicit texts from Cassie suggesting that she enjoyed Diddy’s well-known ‘freak-off’ moments. (The term ‘freak-off’ is used to refer to a moment of intense excitement or performance.)
In court on Thursday, Diddy’s attorney, Anna Estevao, employed the messages to portray Cassie as actively involved in the prolonged drug-induced sexual encounters, which could extend over a period of four days.
Throughout the past week, Cassie provided shocking evidence detailing her forced involvement in manipulative and abusive situations.
On Thursday, Estevao shared the conversations in which Cassie expressed affectionately, mentioning that she enjoys the spontaneous moments ‘particularly when we are both in the mood for it.’
Cassie was also asked why she chose to take the stand against the music mogul.
I simply can’t bear it anymore. The burden of my actions weighs heavily on me – the regret, the remorse, the way I’ve behaved towards others. It seems I was led to view people as replaceable.
In November 2023, she brought a civil court case against Combs, alleging that he had committed rape and perpetrated ongoing physical violence against her.
A day following her filing, she managed to secure a $20 million settlement with Combs, although he disputed the accusations.
One day post her filing, she successfully negotiated a $20 million settlement with Combs, despite his denial of the allegations.
Presently, Combs stands accused across five charges, such as: one for racketeering conspiracy, two allegations of human trafficking involving force, deceit, or manipulation, and two for facilitating prostitution through travel.

In the ongoing trial, he has declared his innocence, with the proceedings anticipated to last approximately five to seven more weeks.
If he is found guilty, he could be sentenced to decades behind bars.
Authorities claim that Combs allegedly leveraged his celebrity status and wealth to establish a network of mistreatment, manipulating women into attending harmful sexual gatherings.
In a different wording, his legal team contends that all the sexual activities were mutually agreed upon. While he may have displayed aggressive behavior at times, it was never in the context of sex trafficking or organized crime.
