It’s said that Carrie Underwood is nearly ready to join American Idol as a judge, a series that kick-started her country singing career eight years prior.
A 41-year-old woman with a golden voice, known for her blonde hair, is set to take over Katy Perry’s spot on the hit talent show, as Perry has previously announced her departure.
TMZ claimed on Wednesday that the producers are already in the contract stages with Carrie.
If the last details are nailed down, the Oklahoma native is set to go.

Jon Bon Jovi, 62, served as special mentor for the finalists during the three-hour finale.
In a surprising turn of events, Katy announced during her February visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live that she was planning to step down from her role as a judge on American Idol after the current season.
Jimmy asked Katy if she would be on American Idol for as long as it goes.
Katy shared, “In September, I’ll be attending a massive music festival in Brazil named Rock In Rio. I’m truly thrilled about it!”
