Carrie Bickmore’s big family news leaves fans stunned – as rumoured love Tommy Little weighs in
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Carrie Bickmore’s latest family news has left me utterly impressed. At 43, she’s not just a successful radio and TV star but also a mother to two remarkable children, one of whom is now on his way to becoming a licensed pilot!
Carrie Bickmore has revealed major family news on social media.
On Monday, the 43-year-old radio and television personality shared on Instagram that her son, Oliver, celebrated his seventeenth birthday and is now en route to earning his piloting license.
The mother of two put together an album called ‘Ollie’s Cockpit Adventures’, which included pictures of him in the cockpit and two homemade cakes depicting the planes he trained on.)
In the caption she joked that her baking ‘sucked,’ before sharing her improved second attempt of a model plane atop a baked cake globe.
One of the first comments on the post came from Carrie’s radio co-host and rumoured lover Tommy Little.
The comedian, aged 39 and a licensed pilot, playfully remarked, “But where’s the cake? This is all I see – reality and a massive airplane!
Fans were left stunned by Oliver’s news, with one writing, ‘OMG amazing!’
‘How exciting, my brother is 56 got his license at 16 and has never looked back,’ wrote another.
Oliver is the son Carrie had with her late first husband, Greg Lange.
In the year 2015, I was blessed with a precious daughter named Adelaide, alongside my partner Chris Walker. However, our journey together came to an end in 2023 when we decided to part ways.
Previously, Carrie and Tommy broadcasted their HIT FM radio program live from the city of love, Paris, France. This stint left many listeners speculating about a possible romantic connection between them.
Last year marked the end of a twelve-year relationship for Carrie, whereas Tommy is said to have been unattached since his separation with Natalie Kyriacou in 2021.
In January 2022, Carrie shared a post on Instagram to announce that she and her partner had parted ways. They are now concentrating on jointly raising their three kids: Ollie (aged 16), Evie (eight years old), and Adelaide (five).
‘It’s with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,’ she wrote.
During these challenging times, our primary concern revolves around nurturing, caring for, and providing all the love and support to our three treasured children, Ollie, Evie, and Addie, as best we can.
‘They are doing great. We won’t be making any further comment.’
Tommy hastened to Carrie when she affirmed the end of their relationship, stirring rumors among onlookers that their bond might deepen into something romantic.
2021 has seen a significant rise in popularity for the beloved radio duo, as their morning program on the Hit Network has just clinched the top spot in the August listener rankings.
Last month’s victory marked their fourth straight rating triumph, making it the highest-rated performance yet for the Drive time slot on the Hit Network since 2018.
At the moment, Carrie and Tommy control approximately 11.1% of the total Australian market, while they have a slightly higher percentage, around 11.7%, in Melbourne and an even larger portion, about 17%, in Brisbane.
The duo have also been nominated for two Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs).
They were nominated for both ‘Best On-Air Team’ and ‘Best Comedic Segment’, with the winners being revealed in October.
