Carrie Bickmore worried her fans on Tuesday after sharing a tearful selfie from her bed.
The radio host, 45, looked upset in the photo, with red eyes and smudged mascara, suggesting she had recently been crying.
She initially posted the image to her Stories and quickly received a lot of worried messages from her followers.
‘Posted this pic to my stories and got flooded with people having bad days too,’ she captioned the post.
I decided to share this in case anyone else is having a tough day. We can all commiserate and remember we’re not alone in feeling down.
Tomorrow brings a fresh start. It’s funny how quickly I dropped my tough exterior, though. And, honestly, the smudge on my face is just mascara that’s run down my cheek.
People quickly filled the comments section with messages of support and shared their own experiences with difficult days. Many of Carrie’s celebrity friends also reached out to offer encouragement.
Sophie Monk responded with sympathy, saying she understood how someone was feeling and that things would get better. She added playfully that they even had a cute expression when they were upset.
‘Stay strong lovely. You got this. Sending you lots of light, love and hugs,’ Jelena Dokic added.
Kate Langbroek wrote simply, ‘Mia carrita [sic],’ while Sally Crinis said: ‘Love you xxx.’
Some fans left a string of red heart emojis in the comments.
People also sent supportive messages to the media personality, with many sharing their own struggles and offering encouragement, like, ‘I’m having a tough day too—we can get through this!’
Carrie had a rough beginning to the New Year. She recently shared that she had an accident just before getting a spray tan.
I noticed a photo circulating online this week of someone dealing with a bit of a rough patch. She posted on Instagram showing herself looking understandably down, and unfortunately, she had a noticeable bump on her forehead – definitely not ideal! It’s a reminder that everyone has off days, and it’s okay to not feel your best.
The wince-worthy injury also featured a small cut at the centre.
Carrie shared that she bumped into a cupboard while preparing for her spray tan, explaining she hadn’t been paying attention.
‘Bumped my head into the corner of a cupboard 20 minutes before my spray tan,’ she wrote.
Despite being involved in an accident, she joked about it, saying it was ‘karma for vanity’ and including a laughing-crying emoji.
