Carrie Bickmore drops major hint about Aussie star heading into the jungle on I’m A Celebrity

Carrie Bickmore has dropped a major hint about an Aussie star’s potential reality TV debut.

Radio personality, 45, used Instagram on Thursday to jokingly ask if her colleague, Tommy Little, would be appearing on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Oh my gosh, she finally posted a picture of them together! It looks like they were at the Adelaide 500, surrounded by all the Supercars action, and they both look SO happy! I’m seriously losing it right now – they’re perfect together!

Carrie announced on social media that she’ll be back on The Carrie and Tommy Show on the Hit Network next week.

So glad to be back on the air with the hilarious Carrie and Tommy show! Catch us from 3pm on Hit Music!

However, Carrie ended her post with a subtle clue that the person she might be dating was filming for a well-known reality TV show.

‘I assume you are not in the jungle, @mrstommylittle,’ Carrie added.

This year’s cast is shaping up to be a mix of famous faces! It includes a star from a popular American sitcom, a well-known international model, a rugby league player known for his charm, and a veteran of Australian soap operas. Rounding out the group are a professional chef, a famous Australian rules football player, an award-winning actor, a controversial reality TV personality, a survival expert, a comedian, and a pop singer from the 1990s.

The clues sparked a frenzy of guesses among fans, and when it came to figuring out the identity of the stand-up comedian, Tommy was a popular choice, along with Sam Pang, Melanie Bracewell, and Wil Anderson.

With excitement building for the new season of I’m A Celebrity, which starts on Sunday, the first celebrity contestant has been announced this week.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m FREAKING OUT! Luke Bateman – yes, the Luke Bateman from the NRL and The Bachelor – just announced he’s going to be part of the 2026 season! I seriously can’t wait, I’ve been following him forever and this is amazing news!

I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be swapping the Australian outback for the African jungle as a contestant on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, which starts this Sunday on Ten.

Luke explained he was trying to win the $100,000 prize to donate to Farm Angels, a charity that supports rural communities.

I’m heading into the jungle to raise awareness and support for Farm Angels, a charity that means a lot to me. They do incredible work right here in my local community.

Luke expressed his excitement about seeing what Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, the hosts of the show, had planned for the celebrities entering the jungle this year.

‘I’m very excited to see what Robert and Julia have cooked up for me,’ he said.

I’m really excited for some delicious food and challenging adventures! I’ll see everyone in the jungle soon.

Luke rose to fame as an NRL star, playing for the Canberra Raiders from 2015 to 2019.

After achieving success in sports, he became a reality TV star, appearing on the eleventh and last season of The Bachelor in 2023.

The show, called The Bachelors, featured Luke competing for love with Ben Waddell and Wesley Cortes.

He finally confessed his feelings for Ellie Rolfe, and they were the only couple who stayed together after the show ended.

Their relationship didn’t last long, and Luke announced their breakup in March 2024.

Last June, Luke gained international attention when he signed a contract to publish two books with Atria Books Australia.

He’s become popular on ‘BookTok’ thanks to his page, @lukesreads, where he shares reviews of spicy romance and fantasy books. He currently has over 406,000 followers.

I’m A Celebrity premieres Sunday at 7pm on Channel 10
