As a seasoned gamer of life’s radio stations, I’ve witnessed countless changes over the years, and the latest shift at LBC is one that piques my curiosity. Carol Vorderman, a stalwart of Countdown and a familiar voice on the airwaves, has decided to take a step back due to health concerns. It’s always concerning when our favorite hosts face such hurdles, but I’m glad she’s taking care of herself.
LBC has confirmed Carol Vorderman’s replacement following her departure from her show.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got some news to share. Earlier this month, the legendary figure from Countdown announced that she’s planning to take things a bit easier after a recent health hiccup.
The station officially announced that Vanessa Feltz is taking over as the new host of Vorderman’s Sunday radio segment, a role she has temporarily filled before. Moreover, she will also maintain her ongoing Saturday show.

Feltz expressed eagerness, saying, “I can hardly wait to join as the weekend host for listening sessions.” He further added, “I’m excited to engage in the largest and liveliest discussions with my cherished LBC audience every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Tom Cheal, LBC’s senior managing editor, commented: “Vanessa has left a clear impact on LBC’s programming since she started working here in May.
This individual is an authentic, straightforward, and insightful radio host who resonates strongly with LBC listeners because she understands their concerns. We’re thrilled to share that she will be hosting a new show every Sunday!

In early this year, after concluding her BBC Radio Wales program towards the end of 2023, Carol Vorderman started working with LBC instead.
As a gamer who’s had a recent wake-up call, let me share my story: For as long as I can remember, I’ve been grinding 7-day weeks. But two weeks ago, the grind took its toll and I ended up hospitalized overnight. Fortunately, after extensive tests, it was confirmed that there are no hidden health issues plaguing me.
Following some heartfelt conversations with my family and friends, I’ve chosen to interpret the recent health alarm as a signal to ease up a bit. Consequently, I’m reducing my workload by working only on weekdays at the moment. Regrettably, this means I won’t be able to continue my Sunday show on @LBC for now.

The celebrity confessed that she felt exhausted by her own choice, since she discovered her program to be incredibly vibrant and an absolute pleasure, with a multitude of fresh callers from various regions and an increasing number of listeners tuning in.
Nevertheless, she reassured her followers that she would continue to be associated with the LBC family on occasion, expressing gratitude for the exceptional backing they had provided.
In simpler terms, “Vorderman stated that she will persist in exposing misconduct and creating trouble, but for a moment, things will settle down a bit. Take care!
