Carol Vorderman has shared the skincare routines she uses to keep her skin looking young, responding to speculation that she’s had cosmetic surgery.
The television personality, celebrating her 65th birthday in December, has always insisted she hasn’t had cosmetic surgery to stay looking young. In a recent interview, she revealed the surprising secret to her consistently fresh skin.
Carol shared that she gets expensive facials involving injections of plasma from her own blood, hoping to keep her skin’s collagen levels up.
Often called the ‘vampire facial’ because it uses the patient’s own blood, this treatment is popular with celebrities like Kim Kardashian and can cost over £1,000 each time.
I recently chatted with Carol, and she gave us an update on those ‘five special friends‘ she mentioned before. She’s really enjoying her independence and told me she’s comfortable being single – she’s actually been happily single for fifteen years and doesn’t see herself wanting a long-term relationship right now. It’s all about embracing this chapter of her life!
The popular presenter will host the Pride of Britain Awards again this Monday.

Carol told Heat Magazine she gets a treatment every four months where her blood is drawn, processed with substances like polynucleotides, and then injected back into her skin.
It helps slow down the natural loss of collagen in your skin, and it’s fantastic – though definitely a splurge. I love it so much I wish I could use tons of it! I also get Botox, and I’m considering a facelift in the future.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy involves injecting a concentrated part of a patient’s own blood – created by spinning the blood in a machine to separate out a protein-rich liquid – to potentially rejuvenate the skin.
Carol recently discussed her relationships with ‘special friends,’ a topic she first addressed in an interview last year.
She said: ‘I’m not going to talk about how many friends I now have – or don’t!
Actually, I’m really enjoying being single. I’ve had a few relationships that lasted around a year or so, but overall, I’ve been on my own for about fifteen years now, and I’m happy with that.
I’m really happy with my life. I have a strong family, wonderful friends, and two kids, and honestly, I feel like that’s enough – I don’t feel like I *need* a romantic relationship right now.
Carol recently responded to criticism about getting Botox, stating she doesn’t worry about what others think when it comes to aging.

She recently told The Sunday Times Magazine that cosmetic procedures like Botox are common among people on television. She explained that she chooses to maintain her appearance in a way that personally makes her feel good.
Eventually, you reach a stage where you stop worrying about what others think. I really agree with David Bowie’s take on getting older: he said you finally become the person you were always meant to be.
I feel like I’ve finally become the person I was always meant to be, now that I’m in my sixties. I receive a lot of negativity, but it doesn’t bother me at all – in fact, it motivates me even more.
She clarified that she’s never had breast augmentation, but her breast size increased by three cup sizes during menopause.
The mathematics expert has previously talked about her relationships, emphasizing that all of her partners are single. She also stated she would be okay if any of them developed feelings for someone else and chose to pursue a new relationship.
Carol has resonated with younger people largely because she’s open and honest about dating, discussing it without being overly sensational or graphic.
She said with a knowing tone, ‘I’m still seeing those people, and it’s going really well for me.’
She has five close friends, two of whom she’s known for a long time – eleven years and seven years, respectively. Her children, Katie, 31, and Cameron, 25, are familiar with most of them.
Carol enjoys the freedom and independence this arrangement provides. She’s okay with her partners wanting a more traditional, intimate relationship, as long as everyone is open and honest about their needs and is having fun.
She explained that she doesn’t get jealous and genuinely celebrates her friends’ happiness, no matter who they’re with.
My main goal isn’t finding romance; it’s simply to be happy. I’m naturally curious about people and enjoy experiencing life.
Eventually, you reach a point where you can focus on doing only the things you love. It’s hard to do that in your thirties when you’re building a career and answerable to others. But by your sixties…
Carol has been single since her breakup with Des Kelly in 2007. She’s been married twice before: first to Christopher Mather from 1985 to 1986, and then to Patrick King, who is the father of her two children, from 1990 to 2000.
