Carol McGiffin SLAMS Katie Price as a ‘relationship and marriage addict’ who ‘doesn’t particularly like herself’ in scathing attack

Previously known Loose Women personality Carol, aged 64, expressed her disapproval of Katie’s behavior in a column she wrote for Best Magazine.

Speaking about her romantic history, she stated: ‘In my view, Katie Price seems to have a strong tendency towards relationships and marriages. She’s been unattached for just three months since turning 17 years old.’

Carol has had experience with surgery, as she underwent a facelift in 2018 and has also used Botox treatments in the past.

Currently, Katie is dating Married At First Sight UK celebrity JJ Slater. He accompanied her when she traveled to Turkey for a surgical procedure.

Earlier, Carol referred to Katie as the “most unfortunate woman regarding global well-being” when they talked about her numerous operations.

She expressed: “It’s hard to imagine what thoughts might be swirling inside her mind, leading her to inflict such harm upon herself repeatedly. It seems as though she is enduring an immense amount of sadness or distress.”

Katie departed for a vacation in Ayia Napa with JJ, attracting criticism following their poolside sunbathing encounter, which was observed by the public.

On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie responded assertively, stating that she was excused from court due to being ‘not mentally robust enough.’

She said: ‘Everyone is like “oh she’s missed bankruptcy and she’s gone on holiday!” No, let me address it.

It was understood by the court that I couldn’t attend my bankruptcy hearing, as my mental health advisor at The Priory had put me on a complete rest period, which excluded court activities.

At present, I don’t feel emotionally equipped to face a trial, withstand questioning under cross-examination, and deal with scrutiny from both the media and the general public.

She went on: ‘I am taking my bankruptcy so serious, like I do everything else. It’s a very serious situation I’m in and it does look like “oh she’s just gone on holiday”. 

‘No, my head at the moment needs a break. I had four days in my diary where I was able to go away.

When I claim that I cannot currently appear in court due to mental reasons, it is because I am grappling with numerous personal issues that demand my attention behind the scenes.

Therefore, I’ve been absent from TikTok for several months now, starting from December. At this point in time, I’m just doing as much as my body and mind are capable of.

She continued: ‘I am taking the bankruptcy seriously. It’s not like I’ve jetted off on a bloody five star holiday. I’m not in a £760 a night hotel.

It wasn’t my action that led my friend to inform the hotel about my arrival a week prior. Consequently, when I arrived, they graciously upgraded my room at no extra cost. As a result, this vacation turned out to be surprisingly inexpensive.

Later, Katie mentioned that she wouldn’t attend the upcoming court hearing, as she had received a signed document granting her exemption from attendance.

As someone who has gone through numerous legal battles in the past, I can attest that hearing about another court date is never welcome news. However, it seems that this time around, I won’t be able to attend yet another court hearing. Recently, I received a letter from my trustees, and it appears that their advice will keep me away from this particular court appearance. It’s unfortunate, but I have learned over the years that sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs, and we must adapt accordingly. I hope that everyone understands the situation and respects my decision to prioritize my commitments and well-being.

Prior to my vacation, I held a one-hour discussion with the trustees managing my two bankruptcy cases, detailing my current circumstances. Subsequently, I received letters from both the trustees and the court.

My consultant has provided a checklist of tasks required for my discharge and suspension, which must be approved by a legal professional before it can take effect.

Today, I’m here again. I have scheduled meetings with my doctor and counselor, as well as others who will officially clear me to proceed.

Yesterday, right before her upcoming court hearing on July 30, it turned out that Katie posted a picture of herself eating a sandwich on an airplane.

On Instagram, the model burdened with debt casually posted a photo of her midday treat, captioning it: ‘A crispy sandwich is simply unbeatable.’

It’s thought that Katie, who has recently lost her ‘mucky mansion’ worth £2 million through repossession, was accompanied on this outing by her friend Lou Anderson.

Being a devoted fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when entrepreneur and influencer Lou announced her plans for a tummy tuck in Turkey next week. When she shared the news, my response was as enthusiastic as ever: “You betcha! Turkey, here we come!”

Lou then replied with a series of clapping emojis and wrote: ‘Come on my girl’.

Earlier this week, a court official revealed that Katie’s case is still scheduled for 10:30 am, as reported by The Sun.

She could now be taken into custody having failed to appear at court. 

In a casual exchange, when entrepreneur and influencer Lou announced her upcoming trip to Turkey for a tummy tuck, Price responded affirmatively, suggesting they both were planning to travel there: ‘Yes girl, let’s go to Turkey.’

Lou then replied with a series of clapping emojis and wrote: ‘Come on my girl’.

Based on reports from The Sun, it was previously revealed that the court had not yet removed Prince’s case from its schedule for 10:30 AM.

She could now be taken into custody having failed to appear at court.  

Judge Catherine Burton, presiding over the Insolvency and Companies Court, stated that Price was given unequivocal reminders that it was necessary for her to appear in court on Tuesday.

Katie was expected to answer queries regarding her financial matters at a specialized bankruptcy court in London, where lawyers acting for the trustee of her two bankruptcies would be asking the questions.

At the last hearing, the judge warned Katie that failing to show up for subsequent court dates could result in her being arrested. Moreover, if she couldn’t attend, proof would need to be presented.

In today’s hearing, Judge Burton stated that Katie did not show up and offered no reason for her non-appearance, thus leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

She said: ‘It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.

She continued: ‘The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.’

Judge Burton stated that the arrest warrant wasn’t taken lightly, as Price provided fragmented assistance instead of comprehensive cooperation, and was unable to supply essential details regarding her bankruptcy cases.

In March, Katie faced bankruptcy again due to an outstanding tax debt of approximately £761,994.05, marking her second bankruptcy, having previously filed for it in the year 2019.

Later, she received an order to vacate her Dirty Manor by the end of May, which prompted her move into a newly rented Tudor-inspired house costing £5,000 monthly.

Despite asserting ‘everything is taken care of,’ she declared this following her second bankruptcy, which occurred after being forced out of her residence in Sussex.

In a conversation with Channel 5 News on Monday, the model asserted that she has learned how to handle problems effectively and vowed never to reach such a low point as before.

In the interview, I shared my experiences: “I’m thriving extraordinarily well. Through this journey, I’ve discovered much about myself, mental health, and, importantly, my battle with severe ADHD – knowledge I wish I had acquired years earlier.”

The overwhelming noise in your mind makes it impossible for you to function, leaving you feeling as though there is no hope or solution in sight. This prolonged stress can lead to depression, eventually causing a mental breakdown, thoughts of suicide, and ultimately hospitalization at a facility like The Priory.

In a court hearing held in February, it was decided that Katie should contribute 40% of her monthly earnings from the site OnlyFans towards a trustee for the subsequent three years, which is connected to her initial bankruptcy case.

In March, she faced bankruptcy once again as a result of an outstanding tax debt totaling over £750,000 that was yet to be paid to HM Revenue & Customs.

Last October, Katie expressed her exasperation about continuous legal threats, stating that she would willingly serve time in prison to bring an end to the whole ordeal from a committed perspective.

On Tuesday, I was expected to respond to queries about my financial situation at a hearing called a public examination. In preparation, barrister Darragh Connell for the trustee had submitted to the court that there is still crucial information lacking concerning my income and asset status.

In court, he stated that the trustee doesn’t possess any knowledge about her location. He further clarified that Ms. Price wouldn’t be held in confinement for an extended duration, but rather temporarily detained to ensure her presence at a subsequent hearing.

As someone who has spent years working in law enforcement, I’ve seen countless cases where people’s liberties are at stake. But in this particular case, it seems we have reached a dead end. Despite our best efforts and all the resources we’ve put into it, we simply can’t move forward any further. It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially knowing that someone’s freedom may be affected by this outcome. The experience has taught me that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, there are cases where justice remains elusive.

At the hearing, it was noted that Katie had made several last-minute adjustment requests concerning her past proceedings.

Back in early 2020, I can’t forget that heart-wrenching moment when the news broke about my idol filing for bankruptcy. It all started on November 26, 2019, but the official preliminary application wasn’t issued until January 30, 2020. Oh, those agonizing days of uncertainty!

In the early stages of the lockdown, I was presiding over the consideration of that application. At the absolute brink, just before it was set to take place, Ms. Price reached out to the court to request remote attendance. Her reason being that her son was admitted to the hospital at the time. This is what the judge stated.

‘The court acceded to that request.

Ever since then, there have been numerous postponements of the private examination due to various reasons, primarily because Ms Price chose to collaborate with the trustees at the last moment to supply the fundamental information they’ve been trying to acquire from her since she was declared bankrupt in 2019.

Recently, postponements have allegedly been due to poor health. At a court hearing before Judge Mullen of the International Criminal Court on the 26th of April, 2024, he expressed concern over the insufficientness of the presented medical proof.

As someone who has spent decades working in law enforcement, I can attest that clear and concise communication is essential when it comes to legal matters. With that said, let me rephrase the given statement:
