adidas has teamed up with Bangkok’s Carnival boutique to release a new sneaker inspired by retro video games. The Carnival x adidas Adizero EVO SL, nicknamed “The Grey Console,” takes the look of ’90s gaming systems and applies it to one of adidas’ most popular running shoe designs.
These sneakers feature a grey mesh upper inspired by classic gaming consoles like the Nintendo 64 and the original PlayStation. Dark grey and black stripes along the sides create a solid base, and the eyelets are lined with red, green, yellow, and blue – colors reminiscent of old game controllers. The Adidas Adizero logo is subtly displayed on the tongue, and the insoles have a small co-branded design.
