CARNIE WILSON’S DAUGHTER WINS OVER AMERICAN IDOL JUDGES

At American Idol auditions, Carnie Wilson attended to encourage her daughter Lola Bonfiglio.

17-year-old Lola managed to gather two out of three members from Wilson Phillips, along with her father Rob Bonfiglio, to perform “Hold On” during her audition for a well-established singing contest.

I proudly took over Chyna Phillips’ part and sang in harmony with my mother and aunt, the Wilsons, on their iconic ’90s hit song.

56-year-old Carnie posted about her joyous moment on Instagram, uploading a picture of her child being awarded the golden pass that propels her to the Hollywood phase of the contest.

In my own words, her post started by expressing that I am incredibly proud of Lola Bonfiglio. Her exceptional and radiant singing voice is truly captivating!

Writing about the moment when her child bravely sang from her heart, surrounded by three exceptional artists complimenting her beautiful and pure voice, she emphasized that this experience showcased the essence of her daughter’s love for singing. With gratitude, she acknowledged everyone who had offered their support to her daughter.

On Instagram, Lola posted her personal message following the airing of her audition on Sunday. She included a photo featuring herself alongside her parents and aunt Wendy Wilson.

She started off on her trip, utterly thrilled to embark on this experience alongside everyone. A big thanks for your warm words and encouragement!

Chynna Phillips expressed great admiration for Lola’s performance in her post comment, saying, ‘This was AMAZING!! Lola, your talent is natural! So much fun and thrilling. Congratulations!’

During her audition, Lola caught everyone off guard by inviting her well-known relatives to join her on stage for a surprise performance, prior to her official act.

Carnie, Wendy, 55,  and Lola’s harmonies on Hold On left Carrie Underwood, 42, feeling emotional.

‘I don’t know how to proceed now,’ the Jesus Take the Wheel singer teased.

Underwood pointed out that Lola’s gift seemed innate, expressing it as, ‘It’s clear that such ability runs in the family, as each member seems to be naturally inclined to produce harmonious sounds.’

At Lola’s audition, she won over the judges by presenting a unique interpretation of Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbows.

Luke Bryan remarked that the song matched ‘the mood and the purity’ of Lola’s vocal delivery, while Lionel Richie advised her to ‘prolong the narrative a bit more.’

Carnie (a daughter of Brian Wilson, a renowned Beach Boys singer) got married to Bonfiglio in the year 2000. Their union brought forth two beautiful daughters, Lola in 2005 and Luciana in 2009.

Carine discussed with ET how her daughter’s shining moment under the limelight was ideal for American Idol, since the platform offers an extensive range of musical artists for the contestants to collaborate with.

As a devoted admirer, let me share my perspective: Lola isn’t your typical grand Broadway vocalist, but she possesses an authenticity, purity, and charm that resonates with me in much the same way as artists like Joni Mitchell and Kacey Musgraves do. That’s the comparison I would draw.

She mentioned that Lola is also growing her songwriting abilities, in fact, she’s deeply immersing herself in her artistic endeavors.

Carnie shared insights from the counsel she provided her daughter, three and a half decades following their joint rise to fame with sisters Wendy and Chynna Phillips.

As you engage in this task, remember to appreciate the chance it offers, A. Additionally, I believe that this experience will help shape and define you as an artist, B.

‘I could not be more excited for her,’ she added.

She also commented on how it felt to see her daughter in her big moment

‘I can’t describe the feeling. Just, the pride — I respect her for following her dream.

She isn’t compelled; rather, it’s clear that this is her true vocation, her deepest passion. Her spirit truly gleams whenever she sings,” the mother said with pride.
