Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard To Highlight Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025
I’m thrilled to share the news that I’ve been selected for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025, joining the ranks with none other than Dwight Howard! What an incredible honor it is to be recognized alongside a fellow legend in our sport.
Melo, who boasts a career marked by ten NBA All-Star appearances, three Olympic Gold Medals, and inclusion in the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, was part of the prestigious 2008 U.S. Olympic Men’s basketball “Redeem Team.” Joining him on this team was fellow future Hall of Famer, Howard. Alongside them were WNBA stars Sue Bird, Maya Moore, and Sylvia Fowles. It is anticipated that Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan (two-time NCAA champion), Miami Heat managing general partner Micky Arison, and veteran NBA referee Danny Crawford will also be inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame class. In a statement, Melo expressed his feelings about this honor: “This is the pinnacle; it doesn’t get any better than this.
The Enshrinement weekend is set for September 5th to 6th at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, as well as the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. In a televised declaration, Anthony expressed, “When the call comes and, in my case, I saw Springfield on the screen. You know what time it is when Springfield calls. You recognize who it is. You receive the call and hear, ‘You’re in.’ And for me, it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders.
Hey there! I just wanted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you, Carmelo Anthony. Your recent selection as a 10x NBA All-Star, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team is truly inspiring. Not forgetting your induction into the #25HoopClass, which adds another feather to your already impressive cap. Keep shining!
