Carly Pearce has two crippling mental health conditions.
As a fervent admirer, let me share something personal – during an episode of Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast on a Monday, our beloved 35-year-old country singer courageously opened up about battling both anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It’s her strength that makes her music even more captivating!
Both have taken a toll on her since the Kentucky native’s childhood.
Pearce revealed that she didn’t immediately recognize it, but her mental health issues originated much earlier. In fact, she disclosed that her anxiety surfaced during her divorce in 2020, which occurred just a year after marrying Michael Ray.
As a devoted admirer, let me share that since childhood, an intense form of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder has been my constant companion. This means I’ve often found myself compulsively checking and rechecking things – like my backpack multiple times, or repeatedly ensuring my alarm is set correctly.
…My mother often tried to soothe me during storms, as I used to get quite worked up. I recall her bringing me to our community library to meet a weather expert, hoping it would help ease my worries. Throughout my life, I have grappled with anxiety.

When COVID-19 hit, she realized she needed to take action to feel better.
Pearce mentioned that the situation surrounding Covid made him reach a point where he strongly felt compelled to take action.
Experiencing removal from the road and going through a highly-publicized divorce felt akin to an immediate, instinctive response within me, something like, “Oh, my goodness!” or “Oh, dear me!
I’ve gone through countless interviews, trying desperately to remain composed. It’s been quite a journey for me. To be honest, I often felt like I was stuck inside my own body.
And that led to her carving out some down time to chill out.
Over the past decade, I’ve found myself habitually holding back and coping with various issues on my own. However, a few years ago, I realized I needed professional help to unravel these complexities, so I began therapy again.” (Pearce stated)
I’ve actually known about having OCD for a while now – it wasn’t something that only became apparent in 2020. In fact, I believe it started manifesting when I was around 6 or 7 years old.
Pearce additionally disclosed that her mother’s ‘fastidiousness’ may have ignited her OCD, but she does not impute blame towards her mother.
‘I watched and led by example, so then I wanted to have everything perfect,’ Pearce said.

This comes after Pearce had a heckler removed from her concert.
On August 2, the performer was giving a show at We Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. However, her performance was disrupted by an unruly individual.
In the viral video shared across social networks, it appears that she exclaims: “Could someone please remove him from here? I don’t want him attending my performance.
‘Get out of my show.’
At Soo Pass Ranch, an individual was led away from the crowd following Carly’s statement, “I don’t have patience for nonsense.
In a more polite and professional tone, the statement could be rephrased as follows:
“If you choose to behave disrespectfully, kindly express yourself, and know that such behavior is not tolerated on this platform.
In the words of radio host Ian Godfrey, Pearce, who shared the video, mentioned that a man abruptly interjected Carly mid-sentence when she expressed her intention to share some personal details with the audience, instead shouting “no one cares”.

Later, she expressed her anger: ‘For the first time, I’ve asked someone to leave one of my shows. If you behave so rudely and disrespect me, you’re simply not welcomed here.’
The 34-year-old star isn’t the first artist to have their concert disrupted by a heckler.
Recently, Adele gave a homophobic member of her audience a grilling.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker taught them a lesson after they shouted, ‘Pride sucks’.
In the midst of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ Las Vegas residency, a 36-year-old singer, who boasts a massive LGBTQ+ fanbase, paused her show at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace to captivate the audience.
During one of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ Las Vegas performances at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum, a 36-year-old singer known for her large LGBTQ+ fanbase, mesmerized the crowd before momentarily stopping the show.
She became angry and exclaimed, “Are you being intentionally foolish? Please stop behaving so absurdly. If you don’t have anything positive to share, then keep silent, alright?
