Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura square off following a week filled with intense chess games. The victor will earn the coveted first spot for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025.

Chessable Masters 2025 Grand Final

Between Magnus Carlsen on Team Liquid and Hikaru Nakamura from Team Falcons, one will be the initial qualifier for EWC 2025. This situation resembles a repeat of the upper bracket final that took place just prior to the scheduled grand final.

In the final game of the higher-tier matchup, Carlsen emerged victorious against Nakamura, winning 2.5 to 0.5 points.

Due to this defeat, Nakamura found himself in the lower bracket final, facing off against Ian Nepomniachtchi (of Aurora). This match resulted in a series of three draws, with Nakamura again drawing against Carlsen.

The winner of the event will take home USD $25,000 as well as 100 points on the CCT Leaderboard.
