Cardi B’s Butt Crack Piercing: Expert Issues Urgent Health Warning

Cardi B raised eyebrows this week when she debuted her new ‘butt crack’ piercing on social media.

Currently, a seasoned professional in the field of body piercings is advising caution to all admirers contemplating replicating the rapper’s backside jewelry, due to potential health concerns.

Brian Keith Thompson, the proprietor of Body Electric Tattoo located in Los Angeles, informed TMZ that the horizontal surface piercings on Cardi B’s derriere (referred to as gluteal microdermals) carry a substantial risk of developing an infection.

The reason for this is because the jewelry is placed near the anus and has a prolonged healing period that could last up to a year, as stated by Thompson.

‘Those things are really hard to heal. You’ve got to give it your all,’ he stressed. 

Thompson also warned that piercings in that area can scar ‘really badly.’

He advised people who aren’t familiar or experienced with microdermal piercings similar to those worn by Cardi, to avoid this trend.

Once you take an action similar to that, it becomes your responsibility. This means that any issues or complications that arise from it are now on your shoulders as well.

It was Thompson who carried out the microdermal piercings on Cardi B’s chest, a fact that has been made public. Moreover, it was his work that adorned her lip with a piercing for the 2020 issue of ELLE magazine, a cover which became well-known.

In my professional opinion, should someone manage to successfully heal their piercings, it would undoubtedly be Cardi who pulls it off with her bold and assertive style. That lady exudes confidence like no other.

Thompson then dished on Cardi B’s ‘pain level’ when he gave her her chest microdermals.

Despite her tough demeanor, which was reminiscent of a fierce individual, the star confessed to feeling anxious and undeniably uncomfortable in the situation.

Though she appeared cool and collected, as if she were fearless, the star openly acknowledged that she was actually quite nervous and endured the experience with obvious discomfort.

Cardi B unveiled her ‘butt crack’ piercing on Sunday night.

Initially, the mother of three posted a tweet saying, “Well, I had my lower back pierced” accompanied by an amused emoticon.

Following some fans’ doubts about the tattoo, Cardi B – who recently had her third child with former partner Offset (aged 33), four months back – provided confirmation by sharing a close-up image of the tattoo.

The hip-hop artist, known for his many tattoos, posed a question in the caption: “Am I telling the truth?

The photo featured two diamond studs adorning the upper portion of her buttocks.

Born as Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, popularly known as Cardi B, boasts multiple piercings across various parts of her body – her ears, nostrils, chest, navel, lips, and eyebrows among them.

Originally, fans did not believe the star, with one writing, ‘How is it even physically possible?!’

‘Ok where’s the pic,’ another asked.

Following the posting of a picture, fans continued to be taken aback, prompting one individual to inquire, “What transpires if you let it slip your mind for several months?

‘What’s the reason behind it? Pun intended,’ someone else chimed in.

It’s not the first time Cardi surprised her fans with new body piercings. 

In June of the previous year, she had her ear pierced during a shopping trip at the Maria Tash jewelry store located in Los Angeles.

Previously in 2020, she shared with fans that her chest piercing was rejected by her body.

In a graphic clip, the rapper demonstrated that her piercing was being expelled from her body by touching it.

And in 2019 she showed off her surprise lip and neck piercings.  

Beyond just her piercings, Cardi B is adorned with a variety of tattoos across her body too. Notably, she has vibrant designs of a peacock and a butterfly that stretch from her thigh to her ribcage.

Cardi B isn’t just known for her piercings; she also boasts an impressive array of tattoos. Among these are eye-catching images of a peacock and a butterfly, which span from her thigh to her ribcage in vivid colors.

Born in the Bronx, this individual sports a large, vibrant floral tattoo on their back, showcasing beautiful blooms, butterflies, and a hummingbird. The design is a kaleidoscope of colors such as deep purples, fiery oranges, electric blues, bold reds, sunny yellows, and lush greens, among others.

She also has a face tattoo spelling out her son’s name, Wave, in red ink on her jaw.

After Cardi recently posted a touching picture of her enjoying some quality moments with her kids, Kulture (age 6) and Wave (age 3), it’s been revealed that she has got a new piercing.

The music star posted a photo on her Instagram story, demonstrating that she’s putting her children first while going through her difficult divorce with rapper Offset.

She wrote on the post, “I’m missing my little ones,” as it featured her embracing her children. Noticeably absent in the photo was her 4-month-old daughter, who she also has with the ex-Migos member.

In her dressing room, the woman from New York was seen with her son Wave resting on her lap and her daughter Kulture standing nearby. She seemed engrossed in a tablet.

Amidst her continuing separation from her estranged husband Offset (aged 33), a touching family picture has been shared by Cardi B, the multiple Grammy-winning artist. This was her second divorce filing against the Migos rapper in July 2024, marking six years since their marriage began.

For the past month, Cardi has been demanding that Offset sign their divorce papers ‘TODAY.’

Back in October, I, a diehard fan, couldn’t help but echo the fierce words Cardi B unleashed towards her ex, calling him a ‘junk heap’ and a ‘filthy, self-absorbed jerk’ in a now-vanished tirade on X (previously known as Twitter).

She made it clear that she didn’t want harm to come to him, but rather for something unfortunate like an accident involving a vehicle, to happen to him instead. Cardi also expressed her hope for the worst regarding this individual, and emphasized that she had never disliked someone as intensely as him.

In September 2017, the pair got married; however, they revealed their separation in 2018, attributed mainly to allegations of his unfaithfulness.

In September 2020, Cardi B filed for divorce a second time, but she and her partner decided to withdraw the filing just two months later.
