Cardi B recently shared her honest experiences with giving birth during an interview on The Breakfast Club while discussing her new album.
The performer, originally from the Bronx, appeared on a New York City radio show while visiting her hometown on Friday.
Cardi B, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child, shared that her second son, four-year-old Wave, was a difficult delivery. She said, ‘He was just too big, and it really took a toll on my body.’ She mentioned this while talking about her plans to stay fit while on tour during her pregnancy.
Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Cardi B actually said she *had* to get stitches after giving birth to Kulture, her first baby! It’s just…wow. Like, she casually dropped that detail and I’m completely obsessed! It really puts things into perspective, you know? She’s a superwoman, honestly. The fact she went through that and still slays? Incredible!
Loren Lorosa, visibly surprised, asked, ‘What did you say?’ before Cardi B clarified she was referring to her vagina, calling it ‘the cat.’ She then explained that it had been torn during childbirth.
After having three children, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, shared that she feels things have changed and she’s gained more life experience.
The rapper recently gave birth to her youngest child and is now expecting her fourth, and she believes this next delivery will be straightforward.
Cardi B revealed she continued working out throughout most of her third pregnancy, which helped her bounce back quickly after giving birth to her daughter.
She felt the third task was very easy and is confident she can handle this one just as well, believing her recent experience-having completed it last year-will make it manageable.
Cardi shares Kulture, Wave, and one-year-old Blossom with her estranged husband Offset, 33.
She’s expecting her fourth child – and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, 31 – and is feeling prepared, joking that ‘this is my fourth rodeo’.
Cardi confirmed her baby news on Wednesday following months of rumors.
The rapper told Gayle King on CBS Mornings that she was feeling happy and positive.
Addressing the weeks of rumors before her announcement, she explained she simply wanted to share the news when she was ready. She emphasized that she wasn’t trying to keep anything secret.
The former Love & Hip-Hop star also shared that she’s expecting her baby before her Little Miss Drama tour kicks off in February.
In a recent Instagram video, she stated that as soon as she finishes promoting her current album, she’s immediately getting back in shape with exercise and dance classes. She’s determined to be ready to rehearse with her dancers as soon as she gives birth, and she’s serious about it.
I’m doing this for myself and for my fans who have waited so patiently. While I don’t live to please others, I feel a responsibility to deliver for them.
She expressed deep gratitude to her fans, saying she wouldn’t have this album or be on tour without their support, and promised to deliver an exceptional experience.
Cardi B’s new album, *Am I the Drama?*, came out on September 19th. It’s her first album since 2018’s *Invasion of Privacy*, which won a Grammy.
