Cara Delevingne joins pregnant Katherine Ryan and Daisy Lowe at Mel B’s wedding as they lead the celebrity arrivals at St Paul’s Cathedral

On Saturday, Cara Delevingne attended the wedding of Mel B, where she was accompanied by Katherine Ryan and Daisy Lowe, who were among the first celebrities to arrive at St Paul’s Cathedral.

As an utterly smitten admirer, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I watched VIP attendees meticulously prepare for the grand spectacle that was about to unfold – the enchanting union of the Spice Girl and her beloved, Rory McPhee. The anticipation hung heavy in the air as they donned their finest attire, ready to bear witness to this lavish ceremony.

It’s been shared that Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisholm won’t make it, but their fellow Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, was present at the event instead.

At the wedding, Mel’s sibling Danielle Brown, along with Gaby Roslin, Angellica Bell, and Alan Carr, were similarly seen making their entrance.

Supermodel Cara looked stylish in a black suit with a quirky straw hat and sunglasses.

In another location, the radiant Daisy, fresh from marriage, was stunning in a long, lace dress, as she united with her husband, Jordan Saul.

Emma resembled her Baby Spice era by putting on a bright pink mini dress, complete with platform shoes and a coordinating hat (fascinator).

She attended the ceremony with her husband, Jade Jones, and their seventeen-year-old son, Beau, who looked smart alongside them all.

I, Danielle, exuded an ethereal glow while donning a charming blue floral mini dress, as I escorted my dear children, Mimi, Hendrix, and Myla, towards the majestic cathedral.

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but notice the radiant beauty of Gaby, at the ripe age of 60. She stunned in a nude midi dress adorned with a delicate sheer overlay, which she elegantly paired with a long, captivating pink coat.

On her wedding day, Mel B appeared every bit the radiant bride, adorned in a pearl-embellished white dress, as she made her entrance to wed her partner, Rory.

The former Spice Girl stepped out from a gleaming white Bentley, showcasing a brilliant grin, before readjusting her veil in anticipation of entering to marry Ms. McPhee.

Mel’s wedding dress showcased a see-through illusion style, embellished with white pearls, and boasted a gathered waistline. To complete her bridal ensemble, she accessorized with a long, flowing veil.

In the meantime, Rory chose to wear a traditional Scottish outfit that included a kilt in red and green tartan patterns.

Instead of sticking with her signature leopard print, Scary Spice chose a classic white wedding gown for her ceremony held at the cathedral. Following this, an extravagant £28,000 celebration is planned at The Shard post-nuptials.

In the morning, employees were observed preparing the cathedral for the ceremony, a privilege granted to Mel due to her receiving an MBE in 2022 for her outstanding work in charitable services and advocacy for vulnerable women.

Large arrangements filled with white blossoms could be spotted being escorted inside prior to the arrival of the attendees.

TopMob recognizes that Rory’s brother, Jordan, will serve as the best man during the wedding, while James Steen, a friend of Mel’s family, will step in for the father of the bride, Martin Brown (who has sadly passed away), and escort Mel down the aisle. Meanwhile, Mel’s nieces have been chosen to be the flower girls at the ceremony.

It appears that many well-known figures might show up, but the star-studded roster seems a bit thinner following the announcement by TopMob, as both Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell have decided not to attend the event.

According to reports, Posh, who is 51 years old, is expected to be out of the country, but she did post a heartfelt Instagram message praising her friend before the event took place.

Victoria found herself thinking about Mel, who is 50 years old, as she shared a heartwarming vintage photo from their band days on Instagram.

She titled the picture, ‘Congratulations @officialmelb @rorymcphee on this wonderful day! My excitement for you two is boundless, may you have a lifetime of joy together! Kisses xx'”

Or, more casually:

Meanwhile Geri’s no show is said to be down to hers and Mel’s tempestuous relationship.

In November 2022, Mel officially became engaged to Rory, following three years of their relationship. The proposal was made when Rory went down on one knee and presented her with a diamond ring worth £100,000.

The singer has credited Rory for making her feel ‘more confident than ever’.

For quite some time, the pair have enjoyed a close relationship; Rory, who is not only a long-standing family acquaintance but also serves as her personal hairstylist.

Standing an impressive 309.6 meters high with 95 stories, The Shard is not only the tallest building in the United Kingdom but also ranks fourth among European skyscrapers. It’s clear that Mel plans to transport her guests from St. Paul’s Cathedral to The Shard, located at the base of London Bridge’s south side, using old-style Routemaster buses, much like those featured in the movie Spice World (which were slightly modified vintage models).

However, bandmate Geri is not set to be in attendance. 

After Mel disclosed during an interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that she had a romantic involvement with Geri at the beginning of their band, the two women found themselves in conflict.

2019 saw a startling disclosure that left Geri feeling profoundly distressed, and it appears that Mel hasn’t offered an apology for this incident to date.

In the meantime, feuding music executives Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller find themselves in an uncomfortable situation as they both intend to attend Mel’s lavish wedding celebration.

After engaging in two court disputes, it’s fair to conclude that the two Simons don’t have a particularly friendly relationship.

But the music industry titans will need to put their feud aside when they attend the same event.

65-year-old Fuller is widely recognized as the most prosperous British music impresario ever, having overseen The Spice Girls during their peak popularity – an achievement that stirred profound envy in Cowell, also 65, who declined to represent the group initially.

A disagreement occurred between the two parties when Simon Fuller, the creator of Pop Idol, filed a £100million lawsuit against Simon Cowell following the latter’s creation of The X Factor, which bore a resemblance to the original format.

They reached a settlement but the battle erupted again in 2011 over producer credits.

Fuller is set to arrive alone, while Cowell will attend with fiancée Lauren Silverman. 

A source said: ‘I’m sure everyone involved will behave impeccably.’

Mel is getting married for the third time, having tied the knot with Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998 as her first husband.

For her big day, Mel wore a Vegas showgirl-style feathered headdress with a white and gold dress.

In 2007, she secretly married Stephen Belafonte in Las Vegas, and then they had a ceremony to reaffirm their vows in Egypt the next year.

2016 marked the year Mel and Stephen parted ways after she alleged incidents of emotional and physical abuse against him, something he’s consistently refuted.

His lawyers said that during the marriage they spent her £50million fortune.

Mel grew close to Rory after the breakdown of her marriage to Stephen. 

In the previous year, she mentioned that he is more like a family acquaintance, exceptionally skilled as a hairdresser. When she returned to England, he often visited her home to provide hair care services.

As he tended to my curls, it seemed like he was also fostering my faith and confidence in our connection.

Prior to getting engaged, it came to light that Rory had been friends with Mel’s cousin, Christian Cooke (an actor), for quite some time. They first crossed paths when they attended school together during the 1990s.

Apart from revealing that their relationship started after she and Rory became a couple, she added that Rory was already a cherished person in her late father Martin’s eyes. Last year, she confessed that if Martin were alive today, he would undoubtedly be overjoyed to learn they are planning to get married.

A source close to the situation once characterized Mel’s future spouse as a “typical, grounded individual with strong ethical values.” They added to the Mail that he doesn’t seek fame.

After her separation from husband Stephen Belafonte in 2017, Rory eventually had the opportunity to establish a relationship with Mel.

The celebrity publicly discussed the process of re-establishing her faith in males following her second marriage, as she alleged emotional and physical abuse by Stephen, a claim he refutes.

Last year on Elizabeth Day’s How To Fail podcast, Mel expressed: ‘He was like family to me because he was my cousin’s closest friend. This familial bond provided a base of trust and security. When leaving an abusive relationship, one doesn’t easily trust others, not even oneself or one’s own thoughts – this can take years to rebuild.’

In 2018, I had the pleasure of starting a wonderful relationship with my partner, Rory. However, our bond truly deepened in 2019 when I moved back to the UK after wrapping up the Spice Girls’ iconic reunion tour.
